We're only won win ahead of Philly now. I hate to root for us to lose and I won't but if we do lose, there is a bright silver lining.

Ok then lets keep up our current effort

It's too bad you don't have time to catch a last minute flight to Portland to ensure the loss........hehe

Toronto won too; they're only two wins behind us...

By the way they play the Cavs in Philadelphia tomorrow and we play at Denver

I still get all confused as to what this all (legitimately) really means in the end. Is this simply a matter of the Blazers getting a draft pick, or not? Or, about potentially getting more ping-pong balls?

We would be getting the 11th or possibly the 10th pick (Toronto) if the odds play out and nobody better than us lands in the top 3.

Considering a team like Dallas could win the lotto and make us drop out of top 12, we must root for Philly. Plus our chances of winning lotto improve.

Man, we're on a 10 game losing streak, I didn't even notice. So we were 33-36, now 33-46.

The Blazers are having a lotto fun right about now.

Philly and Toronto are about to win. Were going to lose. How sweet would the 10th pick be?

What are the tiebreakers with Philly and Toronto? I think Philly beats Detroit, but loses to Indy. Toronto likely loses to Boston and Atlanta. #11 would be terrific.

:) one of these days kingspeed's jinx will be lifted. It's a shame that such a homer can't watch us win regularly.

I certainly hope so. Great man. Great fan. Let's all do some offseason voodoo for the guy.

Are there tiebreakers involved or merely coin flips if we end up tied with either TOR or PHI?

Thanks guys. This is fun. I think #10 is possible. Boston might rest against Toronto.

*fingers crossed*

I gotta hand it to Olshey and Stotts, they may have steered the boat onto the rocks just in time.

I think it's all based on coin flips to get combination order. So the year that we won the lotto, our record was the same as MIN. They took the amount of combinations for 5th and 6th, combined them, and split them in half (since it was an odd number, the coin flip winner won the right to draft first if neither won a lotto spot and got the extra combo).

Conceivably, there could be a 3-way tie for 10th/11th/12th. Tied with PHI and 1 game above TOR.

I hate that we cheer when we're losing 12 games in a row.

I think it's awesome that the fan base is so passionate that they still cheer about something. A lot of fan bases would simply stop caring

Considering my favorite time of year is draft/free agency/trades, I think it makes perfect sense. The summer is the only time, on paper, that we've ever been the best team in the league. For a few months we can imagine all the possibilities until Herr Stern comes along and smashes our dreams.

speaking of Herr Stern

OKC owns Toronto's pick this year (top 3 protected), so we really need to root for Toronto to win it's last 2 games and for the Blazers to lose their last two. Odds are better for getting in to the top 3 and it also pushes OKC down a spot as well.

Agreed--if OKC is picking one spot ahead of us, you have to know they'll pick the player we want...

Very close

Sixers lost tonight.

Do the Sixers have the tiebreaker? They beat us twice, right?
