Why does he keep withdrawing if he is so highly rated?

It is a $3M max total for the year regardless of how it is spent is my understanding.

Getting a pick from Chicago would be tough. How do you acquire a pick without giving up salary? 16 and 19 for 2 or 3 future firsts?
Chad ford said Portland would have taken him had he not withdrawn.

Saric was actually ranked No. 1 on this list last season before inexplicably withdrawing two weeks before the draft. Saric had a lottery "promise" from the Dallas Mavericks, and sources say he likely would've gone even higher to the Blazers at No. 10. He improved in virtually every aspect of his game this year but the questions about whether he'll withdraw from the draft again or insist on staying in Europe if he is drafted hover over his draft stock.

Funny that PapaG calls this place Clown Town when he's the freaking ringleader!
Wow TBPub, that's amazing. Whether it is PatterNash, or Rich Cho, or now Olshey, you have secret spies in the organization willing to risk their jobs and tell you the very inner workings of the Blazers secret pre-draft analysis.
Or you don't.
For the record, I've been quite up front that during Cho's time, there was absolutely a big fat nothing in term of contacts and with Olshey, it has almost all been from contacts with other teams or outside of the Blazers. However, anyone that ever made it to some of the Draft Parties in the past, shared in the fun and you are certainly invited in the future.
Here is how Paul Allen can buy the #3 pick for $27mill.
Blazers buy the #49 from Bulls for $3mill.
Blazers trade the #49 pick and $3mill to the 76ers for the #32 pick.
Blazers trade the #32 pick and $3mill to the Suns for the #27 pick.
Blazers trade the #27 pick and $3mill to the Bulls for the #19 pick.
Blazers trade the #19 pick and $3mill to the Suns for the #18 pick.
Blazers trade the #18 pick and $3mill to the Bulls for the #16 pick.
Blazers trade the #16 pick and $3mill to the Suns for the #14 pick.
Blazers trade the #14 pick and $3mill to the 76ers for the #10 pick.
Then the Blazers call the 76ers again and tell them they don't like the #10 pick and offer to trade them the #10pick and $3mill for the #3 pick.
Blazers end up with the #3 pick for $27mill.
The Bulls, Suns and 76ers each end up with $9 and still a whole bunch of draft picks which they can sell or trade to someone else.

I did and he loved it! He says my Junior GM badge is in the mail!
It's just one of those sticker badges, don't get too excited.

Chad Ford @chadfordinsider
Breaking: Dario Saric has agreed in principle to a three year deal with Anadolu Efes a source close to Saric told ESPN.com.

The deal will essentially prohibit Saric from playing in the NBA for a minimum of two years the source told ESPN.

Turkish Euroleague basketball? Not very impressed with this guys competitive nature. More delays....year after year.

It's funny how people don't say "I'm not very impressed with this guy's competitive nature" about college players when they opt to stay in school another year.
I'd trade cash for saric even if it meant waiting on him with the possibility he doesn't come over
I want the Blazers to buy a pick . . . mainly because I want to get into the draft this week and watch the Blazers do something.
But do the Blazers have rosters spots available? Assuming Blazers resign Mo or get a seasoned PG with the MLE, I think they have 1 spot left. Nothing against Crabbe but is he worth a roster spot? Problem with Blazers bench is I think there are 2-3 guys you can't even give away to clear spots or salary. These young one have to prove themselves so Olshey has something to work with . . . like package 2-3 players for one vet player and then buy a draft pick.

I thought Earl Watson said he's retiring.
