The dude is speaking baloney. I already hate to shop at Walmart. Who the hell will go there if the prices are twice as high? The only reason wages don't rise is there are too many people wait for the job at the current wage. What the heck would wages be if we did not have 20 million immigrants over the past 20 years? If you need to attract hired help in short supply, you pay more.

Nobody pays more for the hell of it with line waiting at your door of people hoping to be the next new hire. Having the Government force people to pay the higher by law is an invention of vote seekers and the next thing they do is bring in more voter from the outland to seek your job and vote for the next give away pandering democrat. And on and on it goes.

As the author points out, there is no reason Walmart would have to raise prices in order to pay a higher wage to employees.

Right. They could just eat the loss.

How's the boat coming along, Marzy? Do you have recent pics posted?

Crony capitalism sucks. I am pro free market, not pro business. Neither party can make the same statement.

Right. They could just eat the loss.

Loss? What loss? Check out Forbes Top Ten Richest in The World list, half the names are Walton.

WalMart could double, or even triple all hourly wages paid and still make obscene profits.

That's how poorly our "free market" works.

Reduce the labor force, 20 million immigrants over the past 20 years is ridiculous. The free market is working fine, just as expected with a flood of labor available.

When Henry Ford Increased wages, the workers used the money to buy American products.
If Walmart increased wages above what the market requires, those workers will buy more Chinese shit. That will make very little difference in the employment figures or the deficit.
If the day ever really comes, where the primary reason a person or persons do business is to make workers comfortable, I suspect we will all run out of supplies very soon.

...seems logical enough, I can't wait to see how Seattle does with this $15/hr min wage. There is nothing like real-life sample data!

Conservatives always threaten, "All the businesses will move out!" Yeah right. Incompetent ones may, and competent ones will absorb their customers. Won't hurt end-users.
