Plan B: If LMA bolts

Groom meyers for what? He is not a starting PF in the NBA. He'll be like one of those 7 footers that can do nothing other than hit 3s. Sometimes they are good, but lets not delude ourselves.

If Aldridge Bolts:

Don't resign Wes unless he's dirt cheap.
Don't resign Rolo.
Trade Batum for capspace and a young player.
Package Dorell Wright if he's still on the books.
Steve Blake is 3rd string PG. Play more Tim Frazier or get an upgrade.

We'll have a decent backcourt future with Lillard and McCollum. That's basically about it. Meyers can be groomed into a 6th man type of player.

We'll be fucking terrible until we can swing a lopsided trade (Nic Batum Expiring Contract) or luck out in the Lottery.
This was fairly accurate.

24 pts | 11 rebs | 8 ast | 5 stls | 5 blks

He was THE reason why they pulled out this 24th win.

Anyone else still feel he isn't worth the max? His deal is probably the best bargain in the league - 5/$85 is nothing when the TV money kicks in.

The Spurs (2nd-best record in the NBA) beat the Lakers (2nd-worst record in the NBA) by 22 in a blowout. In a blowout, box score stats mean nothing because of garbage time.

But going by stats per minute, Kawhi was just as productive as Aldridge, and Patty was far more productive.

And this was one of his best games, because Popovich is trying to build his confidence by calling more plays for him in can't-lose games against bottom-feeder teams. In most games, he ranks way down the Spurs roster in stats per minute.

I know I flip flopped like a MF after he left. I'm firmly planted in the Fuck LA camp.

Last I checked LA is avg 15/8 with the Spurs.....one step forward, two steps back

Bump.

Nice idea, a max contact doesn't look so bad when you consider that it's only a couple million dollars raise for Nic Batum (who only has one year left). The Blazers need a front court player with some ganas.

If Aldridge bolts, I'd go after Ed Davis and Aminu, then see if we can get some young prospects for cheap like Harkless and Vonleh.

I don't want LA to leave as much as most here. However, he'd be a FOOL not to sign a 2 year deal with a player option and go to SAS. If he left I wouldn't blame him, hate him, nor boo him when he returns to play against us. I will stand up and cheer. He has gone through 3 rebuilds and has re-signed with us. Why would people hate him for chasing a ring?

Wow... Did I type that load of bullshit??

I'm FIRMLY in the FUCK LA camp.

Edit: another rookie mistake:

My #1 target would be Draymond Green.

Based on his defense alone he's worth a max deal.

He turned into what I hoped Nic would turn into. He's more than just a 3/D guy, every title team needs a player like Green.

Hindsight is always convenient but had we made him a priority and offered max money could we have prevented this dynasty?

They signed him under the max.

If anything offering him a front-loaded max would've at least put strain on their future cap.
Its actually good to have it back loaded like it is now. They are going to be in cap trouble soon with Curry finally getting paid what he deserves and it'll cost them there depth. Iggy wont be back, they coudl very well lose Barnes or be forced to trade him in a few years as well as losing Ezili and livingston.

Bump!

Would the S2 tribe be open to Draymond to Portland blockbuster?

Depends on the price. One trade idea I saw was built around Aminu, Collins and one other player I don’t remember. Losing Zach would suck. That said, Green brings a lot of toughness and hustle this team lacks.

Edit: Moe was the other piece.
