So in LA they banned ALL plastic grocery bags. Blah. Anyway, anyone have any cool bags they use for "reusable ones?". Looking for some, I have a blazer one or two and some other assorted crappy ones.....

the problem is the bigger ones I like to use take up like half the fucking basket when I'm shopping around.

I get to yank this off my wall now. fuckers.

going to replace it with a Red Cup dispenser. GUTTAH!

fuckin goof balls did this in Corvallis..go tioa store and they now charge you for a paper bag...the city gets a cut..

The only change I can see is that you now have to pay for your "reusable plastic bags". It's pretty rare that I actually carry one of those bags back to the store to reuse. Yeah for representative liberal utopias!

80 degrees today too

hoop fam

Just perfect to create a nice thick ozone layer.

Spent five years in Santa Monica/Brentwood as a kid. It's enough for me to know I want nothing to do with LA. What a shithole.

they're also pretty fucking gross if you buy veggies or meat.

brentwood is fucking awesome to live. so nice there.

Also, how do you not feel like a fucking dumbass walking into a grocery store with like a bunch of bags. Like I said, they take up room in the basket. I went to the store the other day and I didn't have a bag, so I just bought whatever fit in my hand. I bought two drinks and was going to buy shampoo but then if I did I'd have to buy a 10cent bag b/c it wouldn't really fit.

Why don't you just keep them in the back of your Prius like every other good member of the California Collective?

I do wonder if there's a correlation between the bags and people buying less food at the grocery and taking size of packaging into consideration. I'd have to think there is. Sometimes I can't believe how much fucking food people buy at the grocery. And to have enough reusable bags to do that? I'd think they'd have to make more frequent trips now, wasting gas and causing global warming. :MARIS61:

I don't drive, so I only buy what I can carry. I definitely buy less if there are no plastic bags with a handles available.

Im just wondering why they spent time focusing on plastic bags while they have much more important things to think about.

Maybe LA's crime rate...? I dunno, just a suggestion. :)

My wife sews her own bags. Uses really cool material, places a liner in them, double sewn handle.... We get a lot of compliments.

hahaha what was the name of that movie where all the woman are prefect, then one couple figures out they are all robots...

I have no problem taking a bag in the store but to me this is no new news. When I worked overseas and didn't have a car most of the time, I used a reusable bag....it's called a backpack. Works great, hands free. For the guy who mentioned reusing bags being gross....try washing them once in awhile
