Gary Dolphin is the play by play guy for Iowa. He has been there for 22 years.

The other night, after a 1 point loss, after the game he said some dude from Maryland, named Bruno Fernando, who is 6'10" 240 lbs......and black, was like King Kong out there.

Fernando had 11 rebounds and helped seal the win with his physical presence on the boards.

WHAT THE FUCK ARE WE DOING? This country is in serious trouble.

Perhaps it's a fine line, but there's a difference between "White people call us apes" and "White people need to stop calling us apes". One is generalizing white people, and one is identifying an action that some people engage in and should stop.

To compare, if I say "Men need to stop hitting their wives", I am not saying that all married men are abusers, just that those who are need to stop.

Me and Dviss are cool man. We could discuss this stuff in person and be cool. Im understanding and in agreement with pretty much everything except when he generalized white people. I never do that with any race, I feel like it's the wrong thing to do. So I said something about it. I'd dry the same thing in person and we'd likely have a good discussion. Some double standards have a valid basis. As a kid, were you ever told that it's absolutely unacceptable to ever lay hands on a woman? I hope so. Same rule doesn't apply to men.

I think 400 years of white people telling black people what they can and can't do pretty much undermines any right we might think we should have to tell black people what they should do.
