Player wish-list: one player you want in a trade for Dame?

Id like to get a bam adaboyo type but Im not sure who that is. Claxton is young and versatile.

how about Sabonis? Any chance of swinging a trade for Sabonis even though they have that new pg?

that is the type of center id love to see paired up with SHSS and if we can find thst type of player with Grant i think we can become good really quick. Not great, but good.

One other caveat to this is if we trade Dame and we don't start out hot, management may very well say tank again. If thats the cause that changes everything about next year.

Is there a mobile big in the next draft or two that fits this mold?

is there any way to facilitate a three way with SA and miami?
We get Collins SA get Herro and we get a bunch of picks from both teams?

fuck if. Biut to log onto the pc and startvworking up trades to try to put Collins and Claxton and a bunch of picks on this team for nurk and Dame.

can Collins and Claxton play together?

Scoot/Shae/Grant/Collins/Claxton?

Absolutely NO CHANCE of getting Sabonis. They just extended his deal as well.

I'm assuming Cronin has a player wish-list.
To me, that should be his starting point, not where Dame wants to go.
Cronin could ask for fewer other assets in a trade if he got the perfect player.

I really like Jeremy Sochan.

He could be our Draymond Green and hopefully stick with Scoot and Sharpe over the years. He's listed at 6' 8".

Scottie Barnes would be nice too, though he feels more like a primary (perhaps in his mind) than a secondary. Also a primary player on the Raptor roster.

What's a top player on your wish-list, and why?

Damn. He’d be a perfect pairing.

One for one of course you do it if you're Toronto. Practically speaking the salary difference seems to make the trade impossible.
What if the player going out from Toronto was OG? Along with multiple picks, Boucher, Young, Porter?

Like we're taking Barnes out and putting OG in? I don't see why Portland would want that.

Yeah. It isn't ideal but I would take OG and three 1sts and salary relief over the poo poo platter Miami is offering.

OG (as long as we can extend him) would fit nicely with Scoot and Sharpe.

I can't see okc trading him. If we are entering the wemby era, he is exactly the guy you want on your roster

Funnily enough, a Kenny Lofton killed Chet when he played him. Might want to get a low point of gravity type (Zbo) vs these guys.

I suspect it is more likely that Chet will get stronger than Lofton will get taller, so I am still on board the long, mobile guy to make our friend Wemby work.

This Miami trade thing is bullshit.

If Dame has been paying attention, he can see the weak return you are facing when you don't have the ability to say No.
Dame wants out (supposedly) because Cronin didn't say "yes" to an obviously bad and maybe laughable trade offer. (If anything was available.)

I hope Cronin's plan is to wait until he gets a long list of draft picks instead of a few.

or what I really wish for, a up-and-coming player like Trey Murphy who could be a 3rd piece to making the Trail Blazers a nightmare on offense for opponents, immediately, not in 2-3 years.

That's interesting. I agree that perception has shfted... Barnes just wasn't that great this year, and the Siakam/OG/Barnes core doesn't seem to make that much sense given how mediocre they were this past year. Now they need a PG (Schroder? Hah) and Dame had his best season ever. Also, teams like the 76ers and Celtics didn't appear invincible...

So, yeah. Move salary and Barnes. Plug in Dame with OG, Siakam, and Poeltl and they win the East.

If I were a Raptors fan, I would definitely consider it.
You're not the only one...

Love it.
I don't think people understand how important it is for some of these teams just to make the playoffs.
Look how important it was for the Sacramento Kings. It changed everything.
It would be a huge success for the Detroit Pistons to just have a winning season.
These teams are not trying to tank.
Fans are not interested in seeing more draft picks.

I think a team that is not contending can give up more assets than a team that is contending.

Supposedly Pascal Siakam is pissed off that he's being discussed in trades.
He wants to stay a Toronto Raptor.
Let's win now, Toronto.
It worked out before.

If we had kept some of Lebron's sweat from when he was a rookie we could now have a cloned Lebron on the Blazers.

Hell, we could have 5 Lebrons on the Blazers.
