Players to invite to camp

Sidenote: what are the best NBA players whose careers started as a camp invite. John Starks is the only one who springs to mind.

I remember NE Portland's very own and Kansas Jayhawk Aaron Miles was invited to camp a few years back after killing it in pickup games out at the practice facility. Heard he was on his way to making the team..... got hurt or something right before the first preseason game. That would have been a great story.
But I was thinking Ime Udoka took the same path and played well for us.

I like Ime's partner (Nia Long - I don't think they've gotten married but I know they're together and have at least one child together).

Yes they do and MAN is she hot. Even though he went to Jefferson HS, always root for him.

He was and continues to be a good local story. I suspect we'll see him in bigger coaching roles in the future after all the time he spent under Pop.

Ugh. At this point he's a very poor man's Shabazz Napier. I'd rather D.J. Cooper who has actual PG skills.

How is he "exactly" the kind of player they need? He's incredibly undersized, can't shoot for shit, and is a sub-par defender.
