I bet new season isn't til February or March. Playoffs in August again.
I'm thinking Feb and a shortened season. Feb-June. Then Playoffs. They eventually got to get going by October again.
I guess we will see? All depends on the Virus season this year and if they come up with a vaccine?

I don't think the NBA will ever start in October again. They were already considering changing it and now the issue has been forced. Also- there will be as long a season as they can have. All parties need the money.

The only way the season starts in 3 months is if they continue it in the bubble. There's no way they can have a normal season next year, esp in 3 months time.
You're right and to add to that, the NBA's economic model can't survive on the bubble. Silver said something like 40% of league revenue comes from having fans at live games... with full capacity seating open. So they are going to have to wait a while for the next real season. They will likely have to come up with a year to year CBA until things get back to something close to normal or cancel a season completely.

If you didn't enjoy the seeding games and play-in, you must not love basketball. That was high level entertainment, Dame doing stuff that's rarely been done, Melo hitting clutch shots, CJ putting Grizzlies to bed. And if you thought it was a waste of time a few months ago, why have you bothered watching (if you have) and posting in this forum (which you have)? Don't you have better things to do with that time? Or is your whole life a waste of time? Seriously.
Hey, careful... for some of us our whole life is a waste of time.

I've watched a lot of professional basketball. Probably more than you. And if you pay attention, teams come back from decimating losses all the time. Didn't happen to us but no real fan quits after Game 2.
Real Fans know their team. You have proven time and time again you don't post rationally or realistically about your team.
You are an awesome fan of the team for sure. But reality is not your strong suit.
Maybe next time you should give a little credit where it is due. If this team would have proved me wrong i would have come right out and said it. I own my statements!
You may watch basketball. You seem to know trivia but the statement included "Paid Attention". That seems to be where you come up short.

Hope you enjoyed the season. I know you will be back for next season.

You have a point there. They have considered changing the season.

We're gonna overpay the hell out of Melo, aren't we.
I think there is a real chance that Neil tries to run this thing back. Give Hassan whatever he wants under the bird exception to back up Nurk, give Melo the whole MLE, obviously keep Ariza*, hope Hoodie comes back healthy enough to make an impact*, re-sign Wenyen, draft someone who can sit on Terry's bench despite having the ability to help us win games. See if Wenyen and Nas can crack Terry's rotation if everyone is healthy. The whole damn thing.

*is for things I approve of

i would be very unhappy if hassan is in a blazer jersey again. we already have a good backup C in collins who is misplaced as a PF.

Sadly, he is misplace on the bench because he has struggled to stay healthy.

I've already told you, you can put down Thread Maker on your resume when you go to look for a job.

It’s an honorable trade:

Well. Pretty much anyone who has ever really paid attention and watched a lot of professional basketball knew this series was over after the absolute decimating loss in game two in which Lillard dislocated his finger and the Lakers cruised to victory leading by as much as 38 points at one point. The Game 4 loss that the Blazers decided to hand over a 15 point lead to start the game might have been the clue for the rest that couldn't figure it out.

Nice to see them put out some effort tonight. I actually enjoyed the game.

Tough season Blazers.
Regroup and put together a solid team for next year.

As always
Kjironman is a fan!!!
Did you watch the 2018 WCF? Houston lost Game 3 by 41 and won Game 4 by 3.

The emergence of Trent may be the biggest takeaway of the bubble. Dame was brilliant, so glad to see Nurk back, and Melo completely has me won over. Tonight’s effort by CJ may have swayed me to wanting to keep him....but Gary Trent, Jr. was the bubble-maker!

instead, give him three years! Two with a team option for a third; 7 mil per gives him another $21mil to win a ring
You could've just said 'Yes, we're going to overpay'.

Anything more than ~$3M is an overpay

Like i said. You know your trivia.
A seven game series is all about adjustments. In this series the Blazers came out ready to play and socked the Lakers in the mouth. They used a mix of things that they had been using throughout the first 8 games and the play in game.
The Lakers also seemed to be brushing off a little rust. They had not been playing with that kind of intensity.
In game two not only had the Blazers lost Zach Collins (Who a bunch in here were ragging on even though he had been playing on a bad foot since the Clippers game) but the Lakers made some key adjustments. They moved the trap further out on Dame and they started a move that i'm sure you noticed. They started kicking the bounce pass. We watched more "Kicked Ball" calls in 4 games then we have seen all season. The kick was not getting them possession but it was disrupting the flow. Then the Blazers from the side out would go back to trying to set up or feeding Melo. Then there was the spread and front denying Nurk and Whiteside the ball. The Lakers moved Caruso onto Lillard. KCP has the starting position but time and time again Caruso was the guy on Lillard. Again Vogel used Caruso on CJ in game 5. The Blazers simply were out matched. Energy wins on defense. By this series the Blazers had used that defensive energy to just get there.
The Blazers had little they could change on much because they were with essentially 10 players and four of them are G league players. There was a post in the Game thread that said " Can you imagine Mario, Hoard, and Simmons on the court in a Close out game"? Well there you have it. The Blazers couldn't even suit up their fourth G league guy in Gabriel.

Lets not even get into what the Blazers couldn't do on defense to stop the Lakers. If that isn't obvious to you i don't know what to tell you. Bottom line- You have to stop one of either Davis or James and the Blazers didn't have a player on their roster that could do that. The Lakers could rest either or both and stay in the game with their depth. Then they could insert Lebron and Davis and the switch was flipped! Not to mention as usual the Blazers could not breathe on either one of them with fouling.

Your Trivia knowledge is unparalleled in this forum. You can pull a game or series that fits your narrative as well as anyone. But facts remain and in the end the crazy thing that happens doesn't usually happen. We watch the game for those anomalies yes. The game is still the game and the best team usually wins in a 7 game series. Please don't quote the 4 times a #8 beat a #1. I was around for those also.

I found the quote-
Hoard, Simons, and Hezonja are on the floor in a playoff game.
Even you must know the Blazers were outmatched. This was in the second quarter of a "Close Out" game.
