In your opinion, was Lillard's performance in Game 5 the best ever in an NBA Playoff game?

I think some of these Nurkic numbers that keep being tweeted are kind of bogus. Not that they are inaccurate, just that they are so lacking in context they can be misleading

Dame and Nurkic have been playing most of their minutes together. But Dame plays with Kanter...Nurkic doesn't have that liability.

Dame-Nurkic-RoCo have been really good in this series. Look at the on/off, Net Ratings, and BPM's for the Blazers:

I think you need to look at all those numbers to get full context

yeah, Kanter has sucked; but he's only sucked for 56 minutes. Melo has sucked for more than twice the minutes Kanter has. And considering the rotations, that Kanter and Melo's minutes have come in the last halves of the 1st & 3rd Q's when Dame has been on the floor, it's amazing Dame is posting the differentials he is

look at the net ratings (and yes, those are heavily dependent on rotations): Dame +2o; Nurkic +4; RoCo -2; Powell -6; CJ -18; Kanter -18; Melo -21

Portland has been failing at the top of the 2nd and 4th quarter when Dame sits.

That's not to say Nurkic hasn't been good...he has if you ignore lots of stupid fouls. But everything Portland does positive in this series depends on Dame being on the floor.

Capacity increasing to 10,000 for Game 6. Shame we can't give Dame more help.

You have internet, don't you? There is always a way.
Took some doing. Roku us goniat least for now. Comcast device does not support NBA league pass. I was going to leave Sling for YouTube Tv since it has more channels but instead keep Sling and adding sports package. Means paying twice FF or NBA tv for now. Fuck all of them.

I’ll be at work and recording the game. Same for game 7. Frustrating.

@Darkwebs.....You are a graphics Houdini.

You probably won't have to worry about recording it Saturday

I have a feeling we will have a game 7. Or we come out hot and Denver keeps it close in game 6 and we lose in the end.

Tomorrow is either gonna really suck or be really optimistic...

I will say if Morris and rivers do that shit again, we don't stand much of a chance if we dole out the same shot attempts at a similar clip for our role players.

what has to change in order for Blazers to win series:

I'm expecting Dame to be off some in game 6. Playing 52 minutes, at elevation, with max effort and a loss, takes a lot out of an athlete....I'm guessing of course since I've never done it. Now, if anybody can string two incredible games together it's Dame, but I just expect the law of averages to show up

but that also means the pendulum should swing the other way for CJ and Powell. Combining for 31 points on 36 shots is terrible. Both are good enough that at least one should have a bounce-back game

of course, if Rivers and Morris are playing again like Billups and Hornacek, it might not matter

Lillard has put 6 games like that together. Not saying he will because i expect the team to show up. What i feel he needs to do is lay back and get everyone else going. Then rest the fourth in a blowout and come back for game 7.

I believe in Dame to come out and yeah he may not have an epic performance like yesterday but I expect him to hit shots and make plays. The other players have to help him, though. What sucks is Dame is guaranteed to play all 48 minutes unless the game is a blowout one way or the other.

The thing people are neglecting to realize is that it wasn't just Dame giving it his all. Even though RoCo fucked up a bunch of times he was going hard for 44 minutes and the same can be said for CJ and Norm for 50+. Our guys were hustling, they were also just missing shots they often hit and making unforced errors. Denver not only plays at that altitude all of the time but they spread their time on the floor out much better than Stotts did, as per usual.

I think they'll be the fresher team. I think they'll be the more confident team. I sincerely doubt that they will come out and just trounce us for the first eighteen minutes of the game again but I think they'll methodically beat us.

THE HCP, Rastapopoulos, tester551, Strenuus, Scalma,
James lamphear and myself will unfortunately be right and the series will end with Denver winning in 6.

Rivers and Morris lol that’s hilarious man.. still can’t believe it

what a garbage series

Rivers and Morris are both really good players that I would love to have as our backup PG (I realize Austin plays both guard spots). They're both hard nosed and can score in multiple ways and while neither is the most dynamic passer, both can facilitate an offense.

I expect us to get some better performances out of our role players tomorrow and win pretty comfortably.

Toss up in game 7.

Nurk staying on floor is the biggest factor. Too many of his fouls in this series could've been avoided. Gotta be smarter out there these last two (hopefully) games.

I’m a little worried winning this series in 7 would mean Stotts stays. I’d rather get beat down by 100 points tomorrow than that happen.

Really shoulda gave up the farm for Harden, we would be in the second round already and most likely current favorites to come out of the West.

Woulda been cool to have the best backcourt in the history of the NBA.

I honestly wonder if it was ever a possibility really? I agree though. If they could have got him they absolutely need to pull the trigger on a player like that.

Do you really think that’s a reality? I mean even if they go 7 games in the 2nd round We’d still have plenty of coaching mistakes to yell about and want him gone. For nothing else more than I’d like to see Dame with a different offense so we can see how many he can score when the other team doesn’t get to set their defense on auto pilot as they can with the offense now.
