Purely a hypothetical question: which team would you want the Blazers to face in this year's Finals?

Well, opinions vary. I think he's incredible. Ripping him for two assists in one game when he's damn near averaged a triple-double to me seems crazy.

Well, 15 assist for an entire team is extremely low. It does speak to an odd way of playing basketball. Denver plays the same way, but it will likely be exposed against a team that plays team ball. Even the Warrior got 25 assists in their last win, not extremely high, but a significant difference compared to the Blazers.

Oh, BTW, I do not specifically blame Dame for this. I see it as Stotts' calling card.

This whole series, our game followed the Toronto-Philly game.

Whenever Philly won, we won. When Toronto won, we lost.

This was the first game where our game preceded the Toronto-Philly game. Fully expecting Toronto to buck the trend and win tonight.

Terry was awesome tonight. Outside of the Aminu minutes in the first, he was PERFECT. Rotations/strategies/adjustments/timeouts. An absolutely impeccable performance.

I suspect he stuck with Aminu/Harkless to start the game to see if we were going to get "Good Aminu" and when it was obvious that we were not, he switched it up.

You just never know when you're going to get "Good Aminu."

This was a bad matchup for him.

Every time I say "Good season" or "season over" it jinxes the team into doing better.

I stopped checking this thread at page 37 because the computer crashed and I didn't want to take time to reboot

74 pages?

tell me part 1: did anybody besides me have wild roller-coaster emotions in this game? Tell me part 2: I saw a bazillion "keys to the game" listed around here, but did anybody say Turner at the FT line?

CJ was incredible and Portland needed all of it. Dame couldn't hit the ocean but he did great in running the offense and on the glass. Zach played huge. Turner was great. Even Harkless played key minutes in the 2nd half after Hood was injured.

I was pacing back and forth in front of the TV...couldn't sit down

I've never been a fan of CJ but here's the thing: he's been picking up the slack when Dame has been human. Further, CJ wants to be in Portland and Dame wants him in Portland. At this point, they have earned the right to take the team as far as it can go. The rest is up to Olshey, and he has some major work to do

as was mentioned. Portland took the house money and made themselves rich. Here's to hoping they can be competitive against GSW

Sly said ET needed to gave his best game

That and the problem with Zach getting called for everything. I think if you play Zach any more or start him he will foul out most every game. Meyers had to come in and use 3 of his fouls even.

Thankful....and feeling a bit fortunate to be going to the WCF after a 3-17 performance. Just wasn't his day but CJ had his back. Props to Dame for letting CJ close knowing he just didn't have it today.

Wait, so Philly will win then?

I personally was never worried. We won the opening tip. What are the odds that in a 7 games series the team that wins the opening tap wins that game.

Right. I saw that opening tip and I said to myself Blazers win, then on the first possession the ball goes to Aminu.

FANTASTIC!! This team is so incredibly special. Hats off to the whole organization. CJ was amazing and everyone did something to contribute. ET,ET,ET. Picked a great time to have his best game. But that performance sums up what this team is all about. "Each Other".

I knew we would win this when Murray did a no-look pass after only two minutes, you don't do this type of BS in these type of game, they come back to haunt you.

Just a fun quote from a Denver fan.

Congrats to the blazers, but this game got me starting to think the NBA needs serious reforms in officiating, or the league is fixed. One of the two. Touch fouls were called all game and at the same time the blazers fouled jokic every single possession. He was getting mauled out there. But I get it the, the blazers will make more money for the nba continuing on then nuggets so it's not surprising."
