Proud Boys violently disrupted a children's reading at the library in San Lorenzo, a town near Oakland. Small children love drag performers, the elaborate costumes, glitter, wigs. In many communities, drag performers read to preschool children, enacting the parts. A good time is had by all and children are introduced to books. Proud Boys, pretending to protect children, shouted child molester and groomer, threw things, police had to be called. The children were frightened and crying.
It was not about protecting children. It's about hate.
Some assault. Others pass don't say gay laws.
And some love it, right?
