This has been my view on Biden forever. The only reason I voted for him was Trump is a far bigger scumbag, and an immediate threat to our country.
Biden did this to help workers get a break on oil prices....new circumstances have come up since he was elected concerning energy costs and his green infrastructure bill got a no vote ..it's not like he wasn't trying to transition to clean energy...he didn't have the votes to make that happen, then this war changed everything recently....as a president you need to adapt to circumstances. That's what I see him trying to do. Some rate hikes are directly tied to inflation as well....and I'm supposed to get a bump in Social Security benefits but my medicare costs haven't changed nor have I recieved any notice that they will....what's changed is the value of the dollar. This is one of the toughest eras of American politics to weather. The pandemic and trade wars and rise of facism have made people who wanted to avoid foreign wars, have no choice at a big cost to the world...not just America. Joe won't have time to fix the country...as I've always said...he's a band aid president who has to clean up a big mess from the previous idiot and try to put people who are good at their job back in those jobs...Trump fired them all

yeah...this post wasn't me compartmentalizing you...it was you compartmentalizing dems with some whataboutisms.....I responded to this..as if you think Joe wanted to lose his infrastructure bill....fact is he didn't. And Dems don't have a 2/3rds majority so they don't have "control" of voting blocks.....another thing you've compartmentalized my friend...the connection I made was you really, really disagree with the gun laws and since that debate have changed tact a bit around partisan issues. .I'm just a guy reading opinions. Tossing out a few of my own. You and I have one major issue disagreement but I think you've lumped a lot into that that isn't a point of contention at all concerning me at least. Joe's had very little time in office to affect major changes...they say in govt it takes 7 years to affect change which is why a president wants that second term to put their stamp on the country.

I don't know who "they" are or what they want but no politician has me by the short and curlies...I'm not holding up signs and waiving flags. I'm very critical of any liar or threat against my freedoms and choices. As to guns....that's not such a partisan issue...plenty of non republicans love and own guns...that's a topic of controversy that is not controlled by either party at all. Gas prices I can wait out but my truck driving friend can't...global warming is a moot point when the world is bombing the shit out of sovereign nations. We're feeding the war with bombs and weapons that cause hell on the environment and global warming but that doesn't mean we don't prefer peace....shit happens and people will shoot each other over it.
