George Santos is telling his supporters for a donation they can get a tour of the Capitol or attend his swearing in.

It is illegal for members of Congress to sell tours or charge for attendance at swearing in.

A historian wrote an interesting study on origins of women's fitness in early 20th century. Fitness is a good thing. No argument. But authorities, meaning white men, promoted women loosening corsets and exercising. Specifically white women. With end of civil war and emancipation, and big influx in immigration, they wanted white women healthy to have more white babies. Keep America white

So what happened? Right wing media without reading article claim author and "left" generally, are calling exercise racist. Author getting death threats.

Doesn't have to be true, just OUTRAGE.

A Louisiana woman was miscarrying. She went to two emergency rooms. By the time she got to the second hospital her clothing was soaked with blood. Neither would admit or treat her. Louisiana bans all abortion and treating her would be a violation. They did not even record she was having a miscarriage since that triggers automatic investigation. She eventually miscarried at home with no care. Louisiana has fourth worst infant mortality in the country. Black women are four times more likely to die in childbirth, and Black babies twice as likely to die in infancy.

Louisiana Senator Bill Cassidy, white male, said in response to question on maternal mortality in his state, that if you don't count Black women they are close to the mean. Repeat that. Black women should not be counted.

No. Brazil is a sovereign country not bound by US rules. However, to try him they would need to request extradition. Now that would be interesting!
 
I wonder what year it’ll be when the Republicans have someone on death row as one of their elected politicians. Yeah yeah you can’t be a felon but why does that matter? Nothing else matters.
