Why would anyone think their opinion is wrong? I can't stand when people say that someone "thinks they're right about everything." That is why people argue or discuss things because there are different views.

I suspect that the comment was more in the vain of "not willing to admit one is wrong regardless of facts / explanations".

But at that point you had never replied to or commented on the OP.

You came in here to do what you always do, defend racism.

You had no intention of talking about obvious racism, no, You'd rather defend the racists that are being punished for putting up a white power sign.

This is your modus operandi.

So now..

Care to make ANY comment on the OP?
I just did comment on it. It wasn’t defending racism at all. It was questioning people who have come to believe in the last year that the sign means white power. Which it doesn’t. If you think otherwise, that’s fine. That’s all

I think somewhere deep inside neo nazis know their opinion is wrong.

...differing opinions are fine, but not all posts/statements are made as "opinions" and when a statement is proven to be wrong based on actual facts, that's an entirely different story.

I stand firm on my opinions which is why guys like dviss here have issues with me. They want me to give in and just say what they want me to say. I won’t. People forget at times including myself that we can disagree with each other

I get the context of this conversation, although there is history too that needs to be taken into account. I am talking in general that I think it is a weak move to inject that statement into an argument.

I know to agree with @hoopsjock because he is one of the few people around here who is bigger than me.

Dude, you accused someone of always doing something to which he proved that he doesn't do that and that you are confused and then you go off about how you don't care and are basically acting like a victim. He's not asking you to change your opinion on racism or give in to him, he's simply asking you not to make up stuff about him.

Dviss is the one talking racism. Jesus Christ I didn’t know we were still talking about yankee. I’m not playing victim, I have been over that. It’s stupid. Pointless. Move on

This is why you have issues man. You claim you don't act a certain way and I just showed you an example of how you do act that way from just a few hours ago and you want me to just ignore that and trust that you are talking to @dviss1 in an upstanding way?

Look at how dviss is talking to me. I guess that’s upstanding meanwhile I’m simply answering. What are my issues sir?

Denny cut off my hair when he upgraded the forum. I got scalped.

You know why.

How the Hell could you like this post Sly? Really?

I don't know one person in here that doesn't stand firm in their opinions. That's not the reason he and I don't get along and you know it.

I "liked" it for this part: People forget at times including myself that we can disagree with each other

Sure, but the other part is complete bullshit. That's not why he and I don't get along.

See you are projecting my statements to only be about you. My original point about how I hate the " they think they're always right" statement applies to everyone. Of course I think I'm right otherwise I wouldn't be arguing. Since you responded to my post, I responded back to you personally. So instead of talking about the issue you try to turn it into some stupid game of look at him not me. Once again playing the victim instead of addressing the issue.

I obviously don't know you or your posting style as much as others do here but these are facts JUST from this thread:

1) You called someone out for always doing something.

2) That person proved they haven't done that before and asked you why you would accuse them of doing such.

3) You then blow it off like who cares while the other person wants an explanation as to why you would attack him about something he doesn't do.

4) Instead of just admitting you confused him with someone else you not only fail to acknowledge that maybe you had the wrong person but you then after the fact cry about how he attacked you and told you to STFU.

5) There were then repeated attempts to get back to your original point which you seemed to ignore and not answer.

You brought up how it is used as an okay symbol. Heck if you look at emoji's (not on here) I see it all the time. Just yesterday one of my employees (who is neither white or black) responded to a question about one of her shifts by saying OK with that symbol. It literally meant okay to her. This is why @dviss1 said specifically that CONTEXT MATTERS. She is not a racist and was certainly not telling me "white power".

I've been throwing up the 3 point symbol since Wes made it cool back in the day. I'll probably still do it out of habit sometimes but I am going to try my best to stop using it because I don't want a single person to associate me with a white supremacist. That doesn't mean I can't recognize that most people probably use it simply as the okay symbol or the 3 point symbol. There is a huge difference between recognizing that people don't know what the meaning has become and basically saying it's okay for everyone to still use it because it didn't use to mean what it means now.

Heck I used to call my friends fags or say something was gay all the time. Back then I barely knew anyone who was actually gay, nor would I mean it as offensive to them. As the world evolved I simply stopped using that terminology because I am not purposely trying to offend people. Lately it's been tough trying to take the words pussy and bitch out of my vocabulary but if someone heard me say that word and got offended by them I wouldn't argue with them about how I'm going to continue to say it because of the historical meaning of the word. Society and people adapt. The only reason not to adapt is if you are truly trying to offend people with those words or symbols.

You were given the Nazi example and I didn't really see a response from you about it other than to dismiss it.

...thank you.

There is nothing to debate here. I’m 100 percent right on this. Do your research.
It's up to the person making the assertion to do the research and present substantial evidence. This is Debate 101.

It’s not as big of a deal as you have made it. His profile is private, otherwise I would of dig through his history a bit to show you one example. I’m chilling

Sly isn’t allowed to like posts now? Interesting

Because the nazi example is extremely weak. This symbol was started by trolls and the media picked it up. Can’t say the the same about the swastika. Neo nazis never picked up the okay sign, it was 4chan trolls who fucked with the shitty media to see if they would believe it and they did. If you’re paranoid about throwing up a three sign at a blazer game, that’s a whole different level of insane but at least you can watch all the other white supremacists at blazer games do it
