No one has posted a poll about this so I thought I would. I say no, but I'm anxious to see what the overall concensus is of the LMA/RLED/Bayless for Amare trade.

I say no.

Absolutely not... this trade makes no sense to me, and I will be really bummed if we do it.

There are too many permutations to vote yes or no for me.

Aldridge and Bayless and RLEC for just Amare? Probably not. For Amare and Barbosa? Maybe.

Aldridge and RLEC for Amare? I probably would vote "yes".

Ed O.

I think it'll be close to unanimous "NO" for RLEC, JB and LMA.

For scraps, sure, why not?

Unless it's Raef and scrubs for Amare, I doubt KP would even listen.

And if he traded, it would be to send Amare elsewhere for something much better.

agreed. if we were able to save LMA in a deal and give up bayless, Travis and Rlec for Amare I would imagine it means we've lined up another deal for a top tier PG in exchange for Amare.

Someone like Calderon or Harris.

No. As good as the kid can be *in the right offense*, his value to Portland doesn't justify the asking price.

In a vacuum, I'd consider it but lean no (the RLEC, Aldridge, Bayless option). Considering how badly Phoenix seems to want to move Amare, I'd say definitely not...it's worth trying to hold out for a better deal.

WOW, 30-1 in the poll. That's impressive. The fans have spoken...CLEARLY.

What if dealt Bayless, Travis, Sergio & RLEC and a pick for Amare....and then shipped him over to the Bucks in a deal for Rich Jefferson and Sessions?!? hmmmmmm

I wish this was a public poll since the 3 people that have voted yes haven't had the cahones to post in the thread. ;)

I'm not even a Blazer fan but I would enjoy watching this lineup:

PG: Sessions
SG: Roy
SF: Jefferson
PF: LMA
C: Oden

veeeery nice:cheers:

Sessions/Blake
Roy/Rudy
Jefferson/Batum/Webby
LMA/???Channing WTF?
Oden/Joel

not bad but the lack of depth at the pf has me concerned if greg gets in foul trouble, which we all know would happen.

EDIT: if we could squeeze either Batum or Webby in place of Travis i would probably do it.

Dang...if it's not one thing it's another...lol....there are always gonna be holes....that's what free-agency is for....geez!!!

It's mostly just this trade proposal. Leaving us with channing and ike come playoff time is going to be interesting in the 2nd unit to say the least.

why can't they just look at the free-agents available to fill in the meantime....and then go after a more viable backup this off season

that's not bad, but the swinging Amare to the bucks deal fills more holes...since it give Portland a PG and they keep LMA....oh anf Jefferson at SF isnt bad either....lol

I thought the bucks wanted to clear cap? Trading for Amare wouldn't clear cap.

Either way, I feel this team needs to consolidate, and those two trades I posted would do just that. I'm not a huge Amare fan, but if we could get Wallace AND Amare, I'd be in heaven. Roy, Wallace, Amare, and Oden would be insane offensively, and pretty decent defensively.

It's true they want to clear capspace to rebuild. But with Amare being only 26 they can rebuild around him. It's not like they would be able to sign a better player at that age as a free-agent

If they could deal Redd for a young SG an Exp contract and a pick they would be set

Probably not, but I would be deathly afraid of him leaving and signing elsewhere. Shit, I'd be worried he'd leave Portland if he were traded here, and Portland is a paradise compared to Milwaukee.

I voted "Yes". I like both LaMarcus and Bayless. I think Bayless will be pretty damn good, and Aldridge is already borderline all-star. But Amare is a bonafide star. We would have a Big 2. Hopefully a Big 3 by next year when GO progress further. I'm all for trading quantity for quality.

Man, I just think we should get something more back in return.

I hear that....I'm sure a sign and trade or an extension might be talked about.

The difference between Portland and the Bucks is that in Milwaukee...Amare will be "The Man" (once they trade Redd) and can get the spotlight that he seems to crave.

I'm really even surpised this poll got 3 votes for the trade. Probably Suns fans LOL.

I wish we'd stop talking about this rumor, it aint gonna happen. LMA isnt going anywhere! And I'd be very very suprised to see Bayless traded also.

I vote no because that trade probably never existed anyway because if it did it would have gotten done. We would be the ones getting Kerr-slapped.
