I am personally going to be pissed if we just tanked for 4 years to trade away our the best draft picks for Giannis. Maybe a few years ago, but not now.

Grant and Murray (and picks) for Giannis? Hurt me some moreI'm starting to be open to the idea of letting Grant go if it means we get Giannis. Murray may have to be included to get Mileaukee to bite.
Isn’t that too much money going their way? Take out Jrue and package him with Scoot for Kawhi.I think the trade for Giannis that would make sense is Deni, Jrue, Jerami and the two swaps back to the Bucks for Giannis and Bobby Portis. Maybe I'd throw in the worst of our pick, theirs and Boston's in 2029. It would then make sense to re-sign Tisse and maybe a ring chaser would want to join up for the mini MLE.
Our rotation would look like Dame, Shaedon, Tou, Giannis, Clingan, Portis, Scoot, Tisse and a ring chaser. I think if Shaedon, Scoot, Tou and Clingan continue to get better then that team would have an outside shot at contending next season and I think playing with those four into the future would make it easier to get Giannis to agree to a supermax extension.
Edit: I don't think Giannis and Deni are a good fit and Deni has to have the most trade value of any of our players.
This is a legit contender. A true push the chips move. High risk high reward.Isn’t that too much money going their way? Take out Jrue and package him with Scoot for Kawhi.
Dame/Wesley/Love
Shaedon/Love
Kawhi/Toumani/Vit
Giannis/Toumani
Clingan/RW3/Yang
Defense is bad thoughThis is a legit contender. A true push the chips move. High risk high reward.
It isn't too much money because the Bucks aren't even in the luxury tax after the deal and it's less than 125% of what they would be sending us (116.4%).Isn’t that too much money going their way? Take out Jrue and package him with Scoot for Kawhi.

I don't think it'll be both but I do think it'll be one of them. For us, I think we prefer to keep Scoot. He's a better fit.Murray? LoL don’t you mean Sharpe or/and Scoot?

Thanks for your assurance. Do you work in the front office or know someone who does? Hell do any of us actually know what Dundon is going to do with the front office enough to give assurances?I can assure you all, Deni isn't getting traded. Scoot and Shaedon will be the main pieces sacrificed along with the Grant contract and picks.
Deni and Giannis will play together just fine. Great players figure out how to play with great players and it's not even a problem.
Giannis and Kawhi are both former DPOYs. Can’t be that bad. And we’d still have Tisse.Defense is bad though
Send Deni to Clips and Scoot to Bucks. Both teams would do those deals. It isn't too much money because the Bucks aren't even in the luxury tax after the deal and it's less than 125% of what they would be sending us (116.4%).
I also don't think Jrue or Scoot make much sense for the Clippers, since the only all star they'd have if Kawhi was traded would be Garland.
Yep. Gotta trade for two stars to run with Dame. This is a legit contender. A true push the chips move. High risk high reward.
This is common sense stuff. You trade for Giannis because you want to win. Trading Deni in that deal is mostly a lateral deal. Slight improvement even, fine. It wouldn't cost all the Bucks picks plus Deni. You're out of your mind if you think that's a possibility. Thanks for your assurance. Do you work in the front office or know someone who does? We are in a tricky situation with Deni's contract. In order to give him a max contract extension we'll need to free up enough cap space in the last season of his current deal to give him a raise, so the step up to the extension isn't too much for the CBA. Otherwise we have to wait until he's an unrestricted free agent and I don't think anyone wants to run that risk.
Unrestricted means he can go wherever he wants (he liked Washington and they’re building something there), doesn’t matter if we’re willing to match or offer more even. This is common sense stuff. Even if he goes to unrestricted, we can match. And how many teams are even going to have the possibility of giving him the max?
Not realistic stuff you're talking.
