Personally, I pick #4.

I feel fine. It was exciting to think about landing Vince Carter but in the end, I think KP made the right decision. We have a great combination of young players and there was no reason to mess with it. Travis is clutch and only 24. Plus, trading him would've left us with Ruffin/Frye at backup PF though Ruffin may turn out to be good, who knows? The current team has a 33-20 record and is 4th in the conference so I'm fine with no trade.

There's still time. :)

Plus, I would put in "Losing faith in KP...may make the playoffs and even the second round...but I'll be thinking every timne

Hmmm...how about Horrible, Blew a great opportunity but still looking good for playoffs. That would be me...

not a good enough option to choose. i cant say we will miss the playoffs but its gonna be really tough

Me too. We're probably in, but not moving Raef might set us back in the future.

I was wishy-washy about wanting a trade, but I think KP fell off of that pedestal by not making a move.

As Ed O pointed out in another thread, our assets are depreciating. I don't see how we don't loose value on our assets by waiting until this summer....if we do anything then.

Fry's expiring won't be available, and the insured portion of RLEC will be off the table this summer.

I'm not pissed, but I don't get how not making a move with our assets at their peak value was in the best interest of the team.

Losing faith in him to build a contender. KP isn't much of a risk taker it seems. Another failed trade deadline passes.

Easy answer. In KP I trust. Don’t make trades just to trade.

We have no clue what offers KP received. We have no LEGIT reason to doubt him.

On the plus side the Bucks are stuck with Jefferson for the time being and it makes it that much harder to retain both Charlie Villanueva and Ramon Sessions.

Childress is looking good too.

I agree. The poll seems to assume that any trade would only have been of benefit this season.

Before we can accurately assess how we should feel, we should know EXACTLY what offers other teams gave us. And we'll probably never know that. (If I knew that Pritchard turned down RLEC and Bayless for Chris Paul, then HELL YES I'd be disappointed. As it is, I go with "in KP we trust".)

Blew a great opportunity, but we'll still make the playoffs.

disappointed, and cautiously optimistic that we'll make a move this summer. key word there is cautiously, though. If it turns out that some of the proposed deals were in fact on the table I'll be pretty disappointed.

Still quite certain Portland makes the playoffs. They finished the hardest half of their schedule in the 4 seed and their younger players are better now than at the start of the season.

As far as the summer goes, Portland will have some cap space. How much is hard to say, since the cap may go down, but let's assume $5 million as a conservative estimate. In a trade, that would be $5 million of instant cash savings to another team. At the deadline, RLEC would have saved a team around $4 million instantly. So, while RLEC could save a team more in the long-run, Portland will actually be able to save a team more instantly in the summer. That will still be very attractive.

Meanwhile, don't forget the trade exception the Blazers picked up. That can very likely be turned into a first round draft pick, which could also be used in a deal.

I am disappointed in no trade, don't get me wrong. But it's certainly not the end of the world and it's not like it was Portland's final chance prior to going over the cap to make a trade splash.

who cares about the cap space. 5 million? It also means we have to send out guys that are "a part of our core" that KP loves so much to get a guy like Gerald Wallace again which obviously isn't going to happen because KP values his players too much.

Also, I happen to think that our biggest need is at PG, and there just weren't any good ones available in trade. The best veteran PGs out there who might actually have been available (i.e., not Paul, Williams or Harris) were Andre Miller, Mike Bibby and maybe even Jason Kidd. But all are FAs anyway, so our "magic silver bullet" wouldn't work on them. HOWEVER, Miller might be had as a FA this summer. (Let's hope there are better options, but still.)

If you DON'T value those players that much, then there always other teams to support. C'mon - it's the rational option!

hopefully in the next 24 hours the blazers will release there justification for this move. obviously, they were not trading just to trade, So lets just wait for the dust to settle and the questions will get answered. i'm still pulling for the blazer's although its pretty obvious that as for this season we got a really rough road ahead. i'm seeing us as a borderline team, we'll either be miss out on the playoffs again...or squeak in by the hairs on batum's chinny chin chin. 7th or 8th seed at best.

Hopefully Sessions will get a nice offer from the Blazers that the Bucks aren't able to match due to finances.

Great! we can go for Andre Miller this season for the same amount as the MLE will probably be.

WTF. If we would have made a trade we would have had our MLE this offseason to sign a backup PF or do whatever we so please along with the acquired player.

I think people are jumping to unwarranted conclusions about Pritchard being unwilling to trade players. Just because he didn't make a deal doesn't tell us anything when we don't know what deals were offered or the reasons behind turning them down. It strikes me as the common fan desire to see any disappointing result in the worst light possible.

Also, it'll be $5 million if he just lets LaFrentz and Frye expire (and the cap goes down). If he also lets Blake and Outlaw go, he can push the cap space to $13 million. That's enough to facilitate a lopsided trade for an excellent player or to sign players like Childress and/or Sessions.

While giving up two of our assets (Outlaw and Blake). Seems semi-lateral to me.

If we had made a deal, we would not only have an acquired player (I bet you we could have gotten at least one of Carter, Wallace, Jefferson or Butler while giving up say Raef + Batum), we would have our MLE for the offseason

Out of curiousity...

Why be such a fucking idiot?

Me? Are you asking me why I would be such a fucking idiot? Well, if I wasn't a mod I would tell you to go fuck yourself cause I didn't do that shit. I was just pointing it out. But if that's not directed at me, than I don't know. I just find it kinda funny lol.

I feel like crap. I feel like I pulled the hottest chick out of a bar, got her home, got her naked and then she tells me no. That's how I feel. In the morning I may be glad nothing happened, but right now I want to throw the chick out the window.
