Suppose the Blazers are about to do a great trade and the other team demands three out of the four of the following. Which would you pick for us to keep?

Gary Trent Jr. for sure. He has the makings of a good three-and-D player, which is absolute gold in this league. Simons and Little have a greater upside perhaps, but a much lower chance of realizing it, in my opinion.

The draft pick, who knows--but it's going to be low lottery in a weak draft.

Agree and that's who I chose, but man it was hard to chose him over Simons.

I admit that Trent is probably the most useful RIGHT NOW. But at the same time I think Little has greater defensive potential, is more athletic, and I believe that spot-up three point shooting is the most easily learned skill, and Trent still has regrettable gunning tendencies. It's as if when he receives the ball his brain goes into shutdown except for the part of it telling him "shoot it. SHOOT IT."

I also have to go with Trent. I don’t see Simons any more than a 6th man/scoring machine. And Little may have the highest upside but he got a lot of work to do before he can become at least a solid rotation player. With Trent he is, in my opinion, already contributing solid basketball. And he’s still only 21. Already a good 3D guard. I think Trent may surprise a lot of us with how good he become. I think he can become as good as Klay Thompson, obviously not as great as a shooter but impact wise yes.

See, I was having trouble choosing between him and Little. Simons fell out of favor really quickly.

I just see Simon's demeanor being much like Dames and if he has someone like Dame in his ear, pushing him... gives me really high hopes. This is his third year. I hope we give him that one more year. You know what they say about that year.

BUT.... it looks like its becoming fairly unanimous that we all know the top guy in the list. :)

Trent
Little
Simons- really have no issues including him in a package for an upgrade
draft pick- let it go.....this is Dames window

Gary has the "Eye of a Tiger".
Billups predicted he would be the steal of the 2nd round.

I still have Simons 1st on the list.
I have Trent a close 2nd, then Lkittle. I don't really care about the draft pick.

Funny to see zero for the draft pick. I bet if I asked again just before we get to pick, knowing that most of you have been falling in love with a player who is available, you'd all change your minds.

Simons has highest upside.
It's possible Gary has highest trade value.

I'm using Value_team/Trade_value, and it's Simons on that metric, IMHO.

Disagree. I think most people realize if we are going to do anything with Dame at this point, that pick will be needed to improve guys next year and the year after. Not in 3-5.

You're talking rationally. The love people feel for players they have read up about online and seen do cool things in College/Euro games is not rational.

I chose GT....he's going to be better than Wesley Mathews was in his prime...he's the 2 way player in the group....that's an impact choice...if I want to shave salary I keep Little ..he's going to be good...I'm kind of underwhelmed by Ant after this season

We wouldn't have to choose among these 3 players if Olshey would give away McCollum, as he should. Then, they would get playing time. You wouldn't even notice McCollum's absence. The team would be fun to watch again, with a decentralized offense.

I also put this in my post as to why i dont care about the draft pick

i chose GTJ

wasnt ants big game vs the kings when dame was out? i recall it looked great on paper.

GTJ has been productive on both ends of the court and when our key players are around. he's got good length, like defense and seems hungry.

Ant would i assume have the most trade appeal outside of the org

This is the case for me the few years we've had lottery picks and then I closely follow college hoops prospects.

But this year rhere wasn't much college players to watch in March Madness.

Yes you would. C'mon man. CJ came up huge many times last season, and was the key to that Nugget playoff clincher. I don't get any hate on CJ. Plus his defense has gotten better. Dame's too. But i do love GT's abilities on both ends of the court. Ant will take longer to evaluate.
