So, is PG13 one and done in OKC, or is there any chance he falls in love with Cow Town and forsakes the land of sunshine and movie stars?

My guess is that OKC saw what LAC was able to do with CP3, and so they gambled knowing full well that George will probably bounce next summer but thinking they can probably get an Olidipo/Sabonis-level package from LAL in a S/T.

Why would LAL do that when they can get him for free

Exactly. If he wants to sign there, they'll have the cap space. So, it would be stupid to give up anything for him.

CP3 forced his way to HOU. PG13 won't need to force anything.

Did you see what happened with KD and Russ? yeah well this team isn't getting over the warriors. He goes to LA for sure

Why did HOU do that when they could have got CP3 for free?
HOU didn't have the cap space to sign him to outright MAX. They were planning on trading Bev and Lou Williams to another team if not the Clippers.

About the same percentage as if he were traded to us: 0-25%

Plus hes 3 or 4 states closer now

zero....George misses Los Angeles....if you've ever been to Oklahoma City, it's not a huge attraction to a guy who wants to live next to Jay Z and Will Smith

1-25% is a pretty big range. I'd say 0-5%.

Ah, okay. Still, George could play it up that he wants his 5th year on a contract - George has all the power IF OKC does well enough that they're w WCF contender...and I think they can be.

Yeah, I had to pick 1-25 but it's closer to one. Maybe there is something he'll love, a restaurant or a charity he gets involved with or something.

Who knows, maybe Westbrick will wine and dine him all year.

Year playing with Westbrook and not getting the ball down crunch time he will be gone.

That Oladipo contract stunk and he was a poor fit with Russ. Even if PG13 walks, I like this deal for OKC because of shedding that crap contract. Losing Sabonis Jr isn't great, but that price they needed to pay.

They actually get more cap/tax flexibility with this move. Unbelievable.

Easiest poll question ever.

No need for discussion.

What are the odds Paul George and Russ become best friends forever and get an apartment together in Los Angeles after this next season?

Not a chance he falls in love with Cow town but if him an MVP westbitch make waves he just might be compelled to stay.

If they make the WCF sure, but if they don't he wont resign.

My guess is that Presti sees the writing on the wall, that Westbrook is unlikely to re-sign long-term after next season, so he decided to raise the stakes. If you're going to go bankrupt if you lose either way, you might as well increase your upside if you win. If Westbrook leaves after next year, having Oladipo (who wasn't very good and never has been all that great) and Sabonis (too soon to know for sure, but his rookie season was absolutely awful) is not going to change your franchise outlook at all.

And, in the tiny chance that George hits it off with Westbrook and the team overachieves and does something like make it to the Western Conference Finals, maybe both guys re-sign. It's probably a little better than holding onto two mediocre assets and ensuring Westbrook leaves.
