Mods, if possible, please correct this poll so that the topic says "POLL"...not sure what happened.

When the lawyers have made all the budget money available and Vegas bookies have milked the spread enough?

I think the results have to be certified by Dec. 12th or it goes to congress to pick the president. If the two houses can’t agree, hello temporary President Nancy.

I'm considering the possibility of Trump dragging it out.

That’s what I assumed you meant. If he has cases tied up in court, I doubt the election results can be certified if they’re still ongoing on Dec. 12th.

Yeah, my hope is that Biden takes all of the remaining states with the exception of NC & AK...if that happens it might make his lawsuits moot.

That's looking pretty likely right now, but if the margins are so close it gives the arguments about improper ballots being counted more weight. Not that I think it's going to make any difference in the long run.

That's also part of my long term hopes...I'd love to see Trump bled dry by lawyer fees and the IRS then hopefully he and some of his family end up behind bars.

Yeah, I know, ............but hey, I can dream.

Yeah, I really don't think he'll have a case but that's part of his MO....default default default, deny deny deny, sue, sue, sue.

As far as recounts, they seldom affect the final outcome.

recounts take a while and there will be at least two of them

as far as the lawsuits, I'd think the vast majority will be dismissed. But that's going to take time. I seriously doubt he's going to get any court to rule a state has to stop counting.

typical of trump: why file 4 or 5 lawsuits when you can file hundreds

Today....Joe will give a victory speech once Nevada, comes in. That will cause Trump to go nuts even more.
Thats just crazy to me that they would have a victory speech if it isn't final. Shit Wisconsin said they will release their official results December 1st!

I predict he'll eventually be shoved out of the White House kicking and screaming. When he gets over his tantrum, he'll but the rights to the "Biggest Loser" TV series and will star himself as both master of ceremonies and contestant. That will go on until the AG in New York finally gets him convicted on multiple fraud counts and he ends his days behind bars in a federal pen.

Well, maybe I don't predict all of that, but it's a nice dream.

campaigns have data that the public doesn’t get. Obviously he likes what he sees

they always declare themselves winner before it’s actually “official”

If Nevada and/or Georgia declare winner today that puts him over 270. Wisconsin has already been called I believe. If he goes over 270 he should declare victory.

I would not be surprised a bit if a media enterprise like Trump TV is launched. They would immediately have a huge market share

@MickZagger wanna DM me the way I can get money to you? It’s contested, so it’s not called until Dec. 17th. But I can send you the money now and if Trump concedes, you can keep it. If Trump is successful then you send me my money and the money you owe.
You're a good man mags.....jaded but still....a good man!

Officially finalized? I'd say over a month...I think that it'll take a while to certify, after recounts in two or three states (North Carolina isn't even going to complete its initial count til next week sometime). But we'll probably know for sure this weekend--I think there's a good chance Nevada, Arizona, Pennsylvania and Georgia will be called today or tomorrow.

It depends on what you mean by finalized, but the electoral votes are counted officially by Congress on January 6th.
I'd say that's when it is truly finalized.

I thought Dec 17thth was the electoral count deadline

Dec 17th is not a deadline of any sort. On Dec 14th, the electors vote (in their own states). By the 23rd, the states each deliver their vote counts to various federal offices.

I'm also factoring in Trump's legal gymnastics.

Trump will move to the Winter White House and run the new confederacy from there.
