So, I’ve noticed a bit of social engineering going on…. It’s the rebirth of the quote Gentleman unquote… There was a poll on E! or MTV (does it matter?) of the top 3 “gentlemen”. They were (can’t recall the order); Diddy, Fifty Cent, & Jay-Z…. They are kidding, right? I did not see Usher or eminem listed. lol?

Now, I noticed MTV has a series from G’s to Gents. I’m going to pause before I stroke out ala Lewis Black.

Just because you act a little better & dress a little nicer including wearing a goofy ass fedora… you are no more a gentleman than Jessica Simpson is a Mensa member

Does this mean hip hop is dead? If so, hallelujah!

This is just their continued attempt to market themselves as they get too old. Apparently, its working on some portion of the general population. I never thought those guys had anything useful to offer to begin with. Apparently, people enjoy hearing Diddy and those guys talk about how rich they are. Who actually buys their albums anyway? Is it just the corporations at this point? Someone who doesn't buy music for the artistic value or originality?

Anyone seen the Dave Chapelle episode where he does a P Diddy impression? Funny stuff!

As for MTV, these are the same peabrains who brought us the Real World and opened the Pandora's box that is reality TV.

MTV IMO ceased being entertaining when they stopped airing Beavis & Butthead and the Headbangers Ball.

Agree. I also miss a comedy show they used to have called "The State". The same cast from that show is now doing Reno 911.

Beavis and Butthead was pretty great.

When did they stop showing music videos, though? I don't think I've seen one on there in ages.

They still show music videos late at night, early in the morning, or on those "countdown" shows they have. MTV2 has more music videos too.
