A new bill will if successful ban huge swaths of sex acts from UK porn.

The Digital Economy Bill looks to ban anything that wouldn’t be allowed on a commercially available DVD. That seems to limit adult content in a number of ways, banning things including female ejaculation and the sight of menstrual blood from all pornographic videos.

While there are no strict guidelines as to what acts and images can’t be shown on commercial DVDs, adult film producers have found that they have had to cut almost all kinds of non-conventional videos from their films.

Such restrictions include the “four-finger rule”, for instance, which limits the number of digits that can be placed into any orifice while on video.

Remember when Womens Lib started in 1970, and lesbians wanted pornography ended? Soon, dirty pictures started including lesbians. Immediately, lesbian opposition to dirty pictures stopped. You guys remember this, right?

You guys remember, don't you, that it was a big Religious Right issue in the 70s, and that Tom Snyder laughed on his show and defended dirty pictures. So they destroyed his career. Suddenly one night when Reagan was taking over, his show was replaced by the apolitical, meaningless David Letterman. It was a big surprise for those of us who stayed awake after Johnny Carson.

I mean, all this history is never purged from Wikipedia, so the political memories won't die with my generation, right?

This. It's fucking pathetic. Anyone who watched Top Gear while James, Jeremy, and Richard were at the helm knows just how bad their laws are from their "News" segment that they used to do. They are super PC and Nanny about EVERYTHING.

Imagine the anal-security at the Rose Garden....except in your every-day life. That bad.

Apparently this bill does not have any effect on live performances or non-digital recordings.

"Proposed" doesn't mean passed.
