I remember Montgomery Wards. Ugh.
The area right outside the main floor had free popcorn that smelled great. They also sold heated nuts of varying types that also smelled great.
I worked in the shipping department.

Mall 205 when it was still full of stores, and Eastport Mall. Really good memories with my grandma at both.
Games People Play arcade on 82nd. Wish I could remember more about it.
Riding bikes or rollerblading from Montavilla to CTC on the 205 trail and not encountering a single bum. There were also some cool dirt trails opposite of Rocky Butte that we would check out.
The Organ Grinder.
Putt-Putt Golf on 122nd and Stark.
Senn's Drive-In Dairy on 102nd and Glisan.
Farrell's at 122nd and Halsey, although I'm fine with Chang's Mongolian Grill being there now.
Stark Street Pizza; so glad this is still around.
Oh man i forgot all a out 205. Remember the water slides?

my dad took me there after the dentist once. Bit my tongue lal up sliding down and came out with a bloody mouth. didn't feel a thing at the moment. That novacain...

How ya doin ace?

Also forgot my favorite sporting goods store as I believe it was called Oregon Athletic and it was right on the corner of where Sandy Blvd and Burnside come together around 12th. They had tons of baseball stuff and bats.

Here's the thing about that. Any research I've ever done shows water slides being at Eastport and not Mall 205. But I was always curious about the tower of stairs that used to stand inside near the candy shop and jewelers stores on the main walkway. What was that for? It used to have a Super Pretzel cart right next to it. If you were coming from Montgomery Wards and walking east, it was probably a third of the way down.

I am doing well, man. How are you?

How about J.K. Gills in downtown Portland?

I remember buying one of the first calculators at J.K.Gill. Thing was huge and did addition, multiplication, subtraction and division, nothing else.

Anybody know what became of Vanport College? I do and I graduated from it's successor.

PSU, right?

I remember my friend bought one of those 4 function calculators when he entered PSU as a freshman in the fall of 1972. If I’m not mistaken, the thing cost $99.....which was one helluva lot of money back then.

Hmm....we did that too....used to take the camcorder when we cruised Broadway
One of my favorite non titty videos was of my friend Brian seeing 8 guys chasing one kid. He said that was fucked up and chased the 8 guys away.

I wasn't there and didn't believe them until I saw it.

He was a bouncer at Dodge City Saloon for a while. Supposedly got fired for starting more fights than he stopped.
