Basically it goes like this. There are 12 spots on the All-Decade Team. 4 guards, 4 forwards, 2 centers, and 2 additional players. Players that overlap decades must have played two seasons within the decade to count for that team. Players playing only one season for the Blazers can be counted, however unlikely their selection is. The scoring will go like this: your top two guards, forwards, and top center will receive 3 points, your second set will get 2 points, and your two additional players of any position will get 1 point. You do not have to specify PG, SG, SF, or PF like they don't for All-NBA Team selections. Straight up G or F is fine.

Here's an example set of players you might look to select from (you can write in whoever you want as long as they fall within the rules):

1970-71 through 1978-79

Guards (alphabetical)
Rick Adelman
Dan Anderson
Jim Barnett
Charlie Davis
Johnny Davis
TR Dunn
Bernie Fryer
Herm Gilliam
Lionel Hollins
Stan McKenzie
Geoff Petrie
Larry Steele
Dave Twardzik
Lenny Wilkens
Charlie Yelverton

Forwards
Corky Calhoun
Barry Clemens
Gary Gregor
Bobby Gross
Shaler Halimon
John Johnson
Ollie Johnson
Ron Knight
Maurice Lucas
Ed Manning
Lloyd Neal
Greg Smith
Sidney Wicks

Centers
Leroy Ellis
Steve Hawes
Robin Jones
LaRue Martin
Tom Owens
Rick Roberson
Dale Schlueter
Bill Walton

I would select:

1st group (3 pts each)
G Geoff Petrie
G Lionel Hollins
F Maurice Lucas
F Sidney Wicks
C Bill Walton

2nd group (2 pts each)
G Larry Steele
G Dave Twardzik
F Bobby Gross
F Lloyd Neal
C Tom Owens

Additional (1 pt each)
1 Rick Adelman G
2 Johnny Davis G

At the end, all of these scores will be added up for a consensus All-Decade Blazer Team.

1st group
Wilkens, Petrie, Gross, Lucas, Walton

2nd group
Twardzik, Hollins, John Johnson, Wicks, Owens

3rd group
Schlueter, Gilliam

1st group
Wilkens, Petrie, Gross, Lucas, Walton

Keep in mind that the Lenny Wilkins we had was over the hill, largely washed up. Not the player he had been. Kinda like the Shawn Kemp we had (although not THAT bad).

Gramps...

1st team: Petrie, Hollins, Lucas, Wicks, Walton (holding my nose)

2nd team: Barnett, Steele, Gross, John Johnson, Neal (he played mostly center)

Extras: Twardzik, Owens

Not a consideration for me. There was no qualification about "as a Blazer."

Wilkins was one of the all-time greats, hence 1st team.
