PORTLAND RUMORED TO BE CHASING TYSON CHANDLER... BUT IS A RIM PROTECTOR THE ANSWER?

EXACTLY why I would much rather see us try to trade up in the draft and nail Josh Jackson. We now have two first rounders.
The more I think about it the more I think this is an idiotic chase and I REALLY hope its just a rumor intended to toss off the sniffers from the real chase we are involved in.
So what would it take to get Noel (if that ship hasn't sailed) and the pick that nails us Josh Jackson?
CJ/Aminu/Leonard?
Both our 1st plus CJ?
I think even with 2 first rounders it would probably have to include CJ, which is fine with me, because like the link says, the bigger issue is perimeter D.
A lineup of the following would be extremely balanced/exciting and contending within 2 years(need time to gel and grow):
Dame/Napier
Crabbe/Jackson (this may swap as I think He will be that good within his first year. He is much more a versatile players than Crabbe and Crabbes offense will be more valuable in the second unit)
Harkless/Turner
Noel/Vonleh
Plums/Davis
With Noel wont get the paycheck CJ got in his next contract and Jackson would be on a Rookie contract, so it would solve our money issues to be able to retain Plums if we want. If not, then I could see someone like Chandler for Davis or Plums and a second rounder or something.
Chandler would be a great veteran leader who could help the young's develop and would help us in the immediate to try to make a run in the next two years.
CJ has just increased his trade value BIG time in my opinion and it didn't hurt at ALL when KD came out and said he is one of the NBA's greatest right now. I do believe he has equal value to Butler and there wont be a better time to move him...unfortunately. He wont be able to raise his stock any more playing with Dame. He needs to be the chief in order to do so. I could see another team watching Houston and thinking they can do something like that with CJ's offensive skills.
Now is the time. His stock is REALLY high and it is pretty obvious the perimeter defense just isn't gonna get us there.
In my proposal, we are getting a potential great two way player in Jackson and a Defensive specialist in the paint in Noel. This will be plenty to hide Dame alone and Dame would then thrive like never before.
I am willing to let the season play out to try to convince me otherwise, especially since my proposal wouldn't be able to go down until the draft anyhow, but we would need to see significant defensive improvement in both Dam and CJ for me to change my mind again and I just don't see that happening in such a short time.
