If I was Wes (and probably Portland), I'd sign a 1 year, $8M deal. For Portland, he's coming off a career-threatening injury, and 80-90% chance he isn't the same player, so you can't throw him the big money like pre-injury. And for Wes, if he comes back healthy and can produce near or at what he did this year, then he can demand more money with the new cap salary.

Yes to this, finally a reasonable offer. Though even before injury, I cringe at throwing tons of money at Wes. I always have seen him and Batum as sixth men.
