Lebron to Portland rally!

It's kind of wet and cold here. So far there are 3 of us. Security keeps thinking that we're homeless people and have asked us to move down to the bus stops.

We did have some fun and laughs for a couple of minutes with a bottle of powdered chalk. We would put a bunch on our hands and then throw it up in the air and let it rain down on us just like Lebron does. It was fun until it got into our eyes. Ouch! Still kind of stings.

I think I just saw Brandon Roy drive by with some of his friends. They were all pointing and laughing. I wonder why they did that?

Anyway, I'll try and post again right before the parade starts.

Got my binoculars. Looking for you right now from my Crowne Plaza room. Wave so I can see you!

Lebron still not here, neither is anyone from Nike. I was really hoping to get a free pair of Air Lebrons.

I'm coming. I'll be leaving the house here in San Jose in about 10 minutes so barring bad traffic through Albany, I can be there about 5am or so.

Oh my god...

I can't believe all of that happened...

I don't like Lebron...

I don't ever want him to be a Blazer...

and I'm not sure if I'll ever look at Father's day the same again...

BUT WHO IN THE HELL THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD IDEA TO SCHEDULE A LEBRON RALLY RIGHT AFTER A GAY PRIDE PARADE?!? WHO DAMN IT, WHO?!?

5 Lebron to Portland fans and... and... never mind, it was just too horrible to describe.

It would have been a 'kill-two-birds-with-one-stone' day for KingSpeed

Damn, sorry I missed it. I thought it was next Sunday. Had lots going on around the house, doing my taxes SUPER early, painting my dog's toenails, and I had to wash my hair.

Before tonight I didn't think there was any harm in holding a LeBron to PDX rally... but now I'm not so sure.

haha... this is like the most depressing yet hysterical thread of all time.

Just sad on so many levels.

I can't believe LeBron actually showed up for this thing. Was he at Nike for a commercial or something? Was this whole thing some sort of prank for a commercial.

The heck are you talking about? You know ABM's link is about the Akron rally...

Hahahahahaha!

I posted something similar to this thread on Oregonlive and some replied who actually went. He said 25 people were there so I must I went to the wrong place.:biglaugh::clap::biglaugh:

The rain did not deter more than a dozen Trail Blazers fans from gathering outside the Rose Garden on Sunday evening in hopes of luring LeBron James to Portland.

The fans stood on the sidewalk, waved at cars driving by and bellowed raucous chants of "We want the king" and "Bring LeBron to Portland."

"I just got a text from LeBron," recent Oregon graduate Tim Dundon joked. "He said he'd try to make it out here. I mean he made it to the Akron one yesterday."

James, a two-time NBA most valuable player and the league's most sought after summer free-agent made a surprise appearance at a rally in Akron, Ohio, on Saturday that drew an estimated crowd of 4,000.

While Portland hasn't been high on the list of potential suitors for James, Dundon said the Trail Blazers would be a perfect fit for the "King."

"You bring LeBron here and we become an immediate title contender," he said.

The group mainly consisted of college-aged fans but that didn't stop season ticket holder Dave Vecsi, 47, from attending the rally.

"We have Brandon Roy and he's a great player," Vecsi said. "But LeBron is a superstar."

Event organizer David Chitsazan said he was slightly disappointed with the turnout.

"It's a little bit lower than expected," Chitsazan said. "We scheduled it long enough in advance that we didn't realize it was Father's Day."

I couldn't push my way through so I watched the big screen in the overflow theater.

"DRAFT THE 'STACHE! DRAFT THE 'STACHE! DRAFT THE 'STACHE!"

Gavin Dawson would be so proud...

When isn't there a gay pride parade in Portland? It's kind of hard to schedule around them, when they are always happening!
