Lately, I've noticed a lot of people having trouble posting up videos from youtube. I'll leave this thread up here as reference, since the off-topic forum tends to have a lot more videos in it.

1. When you find a video you want to post, find the URL that is found right next to the video:

<div align="center">
youtubestep1ga1.jpg
</div>

2. Within the URL is a code that you need to find. The series of numbers/letters after "v=" is what you're looking for:

<div align="center">
youtubestep2eh8.jpg
</div>

3. Insert that code within the youtube tags:

<div align="center">
youtubestep3dd4.jpg
</div>

And voila....

<div align="center">Invalid Video Link</div>

Thanks Chutney, I had no idea how to do this. Propz.

Just had to try it out...

Invalid Video Link

Thanks Chutney.

EDIT: Nevermind.

Check the tutorial again. You just have to put in the series of letters/numbers/dashes after "v=."

</div>You only have to put the portion of the URL that's after the equals sign in the [youtube] tags, not the entire thing.

Damn, two hours?? What connection do you have? Usually even the biggest uploads only take 4 or 5 minutes.

<-- click this button on editor (to the right of the smiley)</p>

You paste the URL from YouTube, as explained in the first post, in the popup dialog for the editor. Click the insert button.</p>

I am going to implement the [youtube][/youtube] bbcode as well. </p>

What i don't understand is that the usual limit is 10 minutes or there abouts but i see videos on there over an Hour long sometimes. Hows that?

Embedding doesn't work for me initially, but if I hit edit and save after I originally post it works fine.

Denny gave a good summary of how to embed youtube videos right now (click that button, set the type to "Flash," and paste the full url). Once he's done adding the [youtube] tags, I'll create another thread giving step-by-step instructions for both methods.

![youtube] tags should be working now.</p>

</p>

Argh</p>

James didn't realize the url in the embed tag and in the url are different. He's fixing it.</p>

</p>

What has happened to the video thing next to the insert Picture on the Bar Above?</p>

Althought i still know how to do Videos it was always more convienient that way.</p>
