Ok so we would be a better team if we could add an MVP or the best shooter in the history of the game. Good to know.

We need guys who can space the floor so other teams can't leave them wide ass open. Wes and Batum don't have to be draining 12 threes a game, they just have to be able to hit the wide open three so teams can't easily double LaMarcus down low all game long. We only need our deep shooters to play a role, not carry the team. Our guards couldn't perform that basic role against Dallas and we lost the series. We shot 30.0% from three against Dallas.

I don't disagree with what you are saying. Being able to space the floor is important. Wes and Batum do that very well. They just need to get a little better at being able to step in after someone runs out at them, and drain the open J. And as I recall Felton is pretty good at it too.

But lets not forget who on our team has the ability to do it best. With or without any Meniscus.

Batum is only 22 and although he stunk in the Dallas series, if you look back at his other two playoff runs he actually shot really well from three point land.

Matthews is only in his second year. And his falloff in shooting wasn't that precipitous.

Yeah, that does sound like a lot of excuses. But these guys are young and volatile. I'd definitely like to add a James Jones-type to the roster (although I think Jones is pretty far gone). Especially since our shooting becomes a serious problem if Wes or Batum get injured.

Martell was young. Outlaw was young. Rudy set the three point record as a rookie. How did that "young potential" work out?

Most young players don't improve terribly much, if they are really going to be stud starters in this league you see it right away.

Jeez, already?! Nic got off his flight at like noon. And he showed up at the PF an hour later? Talk about dedicated.
No sheet. I've made that trip many times, and I've never worked out as soon as I got home. OTOH, I've never had luxurious first class seats to sleep in on the way either, so never mind, LOL.

Williams seems like a hybrid between Bayless and Outlaw. Outlaw's freaky athleticism and good length for his position. Bayless' chippy attitude and shoot-first/drive-to-the-hole combo guard style.

Those are some solid tools to build on for a non-lotto pick.

exactly. He's supposed to be a solid defender as well. He didn't do his predraft so we don't have true measurements, but my impression is he's about 6'4 barefoot with a large wingspan... his size & athleticism suggest he should be able to D up most guards. Like Bayless & Travis, EW becoming part of the rotation probably hinges more on his jumper then anything else.

Yet half this board seemed ready to give up "LaMarshmellow" before last season.

Yeah, that was nuts. I laughed at that nickname, though. :)

hahaha. We just bought my daughter a convertible one of those. Technically sh won't get it or get to see it until her birthday in January though

Life must be good for ya MM!
Is your daughter hot? :devilwink: Hmmmm, maybe your daughter can now be the joke around here instead of Mrs HCP. :)

Played 3 on 3 Full Court for an hour and a half yesterday... is in Tremendous Shape...is leading the practice

Will everyone be in town tomorrow?

It's L-Train's team. God I hope we don't get petulant Brandon this year. If B-Roy can fit in, I have no other worries.

She is 15. Go ahead and joke, I can get the IP address from someone and turn it over to the police faster than I turn Mrs HCP over

Freaking twitter. It does that sometimes.

I just saw Nolan at Rebound and asked him about this. He laughed and said it was a rental and that Wes was messing with him. He was very friendly, seems like a nice kid.

lol ^ good times

I'm anxious to see how 4 years of college under coach K and a hard summer of workouts can translate for him
