2-5 sounds realistic to me. That puts us at 16-16.

I've got no feel for this team right now. They definitely played hard the past couple of games, but there is so much unsettled in the rotation and who knows what direction Nate is going to go with the point guard rotation.

I'm just anxious to see if this team has enough character and resolve to weather this storm, record be damned.

I thought everyone knew what direction Nate was going to go in:

Stay the course. Zero points of Blake. Read my lips: No new point guard.

Speaking of GHWB, I guess his famous misspeak about Ronald Reagan would fit for Nate and Blake too:

"I'm proud to have been his partner. We've had triumphs. We've made some mistakes. We've had some sex..."

We could very well be a sub .500 team after this stretch.

15-17

We always win at Miami don't we? Maybe not this year.

I think our guards are going to have trouble against SAC.

Posted by me yesterday:

The Blazers could very well lose 7 out of their next 8 games, starting with tonight. The Bucks are 8-3 at home and are favored by 4. The Blazers are actually the underdogs tonight.

They have SAC at home on Tuesday and SHOULD be a win, then Phoenix at home which is pretty shaky, then a 4 game road trip against Orlando, Miami, Dallas, SA, then finish up the 8th game against Denver at home on Christmas.

Going to be an ugly stretch and will probably find themselves out of a top 8 seed at the end of it.

It's going to get ugly.

I'm going to be the optimist and say 3-4.
Either that or 18-0.

and amazingly some say we dont need a trade... but kp already knows hes going to the lotto

we might go 0-7.... i dont think we can outscore the kings.

we might have a top 5 lotto pick

That's the attitude I'm trying to adopt as well. Even if we go 1-6 in these next 7 and we are 15-17 overall - that doesn't end our season. There will still be 50 games left and anything can happen. Who knows if Okl City & Houston can stay in the race?

We SHOULD start to get healthy again by February if can just hang around until then.

This team is set at every position. What do you think they need?

we might go 0-7....

We might go 7-0.

i dont think we can outscore the kings.

I'm positive Portland can outscore the Kings. The question is, can they allow fewer points than the Kings? That will decide the game. ;)

I don't think the teams with those picks will trade them to Portland, but I admire your optimism.

Mixum probably wants to trade for LeBron, with Steve Blake and Webster anchoring the deal.

?Under what variables? Nate loosening the reigns after his week of observation? Miller and Blake combining for 3x the minutes of Dante and JB combined? Starting 3 guards? Playing 3 PGs at a time for extended minutes?

Assume nothing changes.

That is probably the best bet in this case.

Mark my words, 7-0 baby!*

*I reserve the right to deny I said this, if they lose 1 to 7 games.

2-5 is sounding right to me too. Sucks. These teams are not going to be nice to us.

I agree with this prediction. Maybe after this, KP will wake from his stupidity and do a trade.

I was admiring your overoptimism as I read that. Well, actually I was in awe, not admiration...

I think our guards will be psyched up to avoid being embarassed by Sergio's team. But we still will be.

We don't stack up well against Dallas for sure. Our history reflects that. Last time we beat Dallas at their PLACE was in the WCSF back in the 2002-2003 season! We had Pippen back then.

We might beat Phoenix at home on thursday but my gut says 50-50.
Miami, we didn't beat them the first time around with Oden at our house.
Orlando: Can we contain Dwight Howard? He's averaging 18 ppg.
San Antonio: I can't remember the last time we actually won there. We can't do it with 9 players let alone a full roster.
Denver: Losing by double digits at home is going to be tough to swallow. Hopefully Pendergraph is back by this point. Its going to be an ugly loss and make our GM look really bad. Jason Quick is going to write an article of everyone being down in the dumps on xmas day.

:check:

I think we beat Sacramento and Miami.

1-6 season over

wait... it already is

No reason for you to post then. Vaya con Dios. I guess you need to find someone else to get attention from. You're a classic Cluster B personality type.

I think we'll squeak out a win against San Antonio of all teams, but the rest will be in the loss column.

I thought we might have a chance in SA, but it's the last game of the road trip. I don't think we have the legs.

I'm not trying to provide any logic, I just think the team will be so desperate for a win after likely losing 7 in a row (counting Cleveland and Milwaukee) that this will be the game where they make a stand. Nothing more than a hunch.

I think that, for whatever homeristic optimism I have, we can win 4 or 5. I think the team changes...I think the lineup changes...I think we break out of the malaise.

If nothing changes, we might win 2.
