prediction for the knicks this yr

I dont think they can get 50 wins. I see them getting any were from 45 to 48 wins this season and finishing with the sixth seed in the east they have a good team, but so do a lot of teams in the east here is who I believe will be ahead of them.
One of course will be the pistons the defending champs. Do I really need to explain why they will be number 1 its kind of obvious they resigned wallace there big free agent this year and added mcdyess to take okur's place.
Second will be the heat. Although they are a shallow team they are in a weak divsion besides the magic and with shaq they should be the favorites to win there division because he can drive them to the playoff on pure desire alone.
Three will be the sixers. They have AI moving back to point so now they wont have matchup problems any more. Along with great depth at the small forward spot and if there players dont combine to miss 112 games again this year they will win the division with the weak nets falling.
Four will be the pacer. They cant be higher do to the fact that the top three have to be division winners. I dont see them over throwing the psitons even though they got 60 wins last year and won the division the pistons only had wallace half of last year.
Fifth will be the magic imo. They have the defensive players needed to make the playoff and great young talent. I think they can get here with the back court of francis and mobely. Along with howard, battie, augman, hill, and cato they are very deep team this year after being one of the most shallow teams last year.

They will probable get crawford, but if they give up thomas to get him I think its a bad move because thomas is a double double guy every night and a good shooter. While crawford I believe will not be able to co-exist with marbury and does shoot under 40%.

Actually. AI missed 37 games last year yet they were still in contention for a final playoff spot till the last week. Also Robinson missed 40 games so right there your top 2 scorers missed a combined 77 games last year yet they were still there till the last week.
Then they signed Skinner who naverages 10 points and alot of boards and thomas is improving his jumper for the team so that will make them better. Also they have dalembert with a nba season under his belt his first actually since he was out his entire rookie year with a injury.
Then they drafted Iggy a great athletic guy and actually got a good coach. They are gona get rid of Colemans contract and have a more talented willi green, salmons, and korver returning to the team. Not to mention wild cards kevin ollie (best assists to turnover ratio in the league) and kedrick brown (young athletic can hit a jumper) on the team as well. Then with there new offense they will win there division imo of course you are intitled to yours.

mines a little differnt:
1) detroit (still the defending champs and theyve only improved)
2) miami (they got a good team but only reason theyr ahead of indy is cuz of the 1-2- 3 division rankings)
3) new york (they got an easy division and philly could contend wit them, but the- knicks look ready to add another big player)
of course the east is always unpredictable and aside from pistons, heat, and pacers, no ones guaranteed a top spot.
