I'm gonna be optimistic and say Nash breaks 40 and Kreider breaks 20. Nash was on pace to break 40 last year and did it under Tortorella. I think there's a great chance he can replicate that in a more offensive system. Not to mention the wear and tear he will avoid not being asked to constantly block shots, dump and chase, bang along the boards, throw himself off bridges, etc.

when i first read this my brain initially processed "Dominic Moore? wtf?" then i realized it was the other Moore. Makes sense now, and agree.

I honestly believe Torts was more interested in the transition to defense short handed than he was in scoring on the power play.

I totally agree. He had a "let's play the PK all game even when we are on the PP mentaility". It was disgusting to watch after a while.

Del Zerro had plenty of opportunity on the pp and failed miserably. his shot was constantly missing the net, and missing to the point of the puck ending out clearing the zone. perhaps torts killed the one thing DZ had going for him the ability to bring the puck up, even that dimminished in my opinion over time.

Del Zotto is 22 and has never played for a coach with any offensive creativity. When you ask a player to do what they struggle at all the time and never to do what they are good with, that player will never look impressive.
