Just got down here in Eugene to work the PRE tomorrow afternoon. We are on NBC for any track fans out there, i think at 1:30, but you might want to check!

Sounds quite lame. Sorry you have to go through producing that... Also, sorry you are in Eugene.

HAHA! Track meets are very faced paced broadcast wise. So much going on at once and you are having to record different events and play them back as if they are LIVE. It is lame, but I like being down here. My dad ran track down here in the early 70's.

The movie about Prefontaine was just on Showtime earlier this evening.

Red Foreman is in the movie and he's the exact same character as he is on That 70's show. Kinda funny.

I'm giving ya a hard time. I have watched the pre and a couple other events before. They aren't so bad. I have friends that bleed track that go every year.

Prefontaine died young after being one of tens of millions of American anti-Vietnam counterculturalists. The two movies don't show this enough.

HS senior Lukas Verzbickas (who is set to go to UO next year) shaved 5 seconds off the mens HS record in the 2 mile yesterday coming in at 8:29.48. In doing so his splits also set HS records in the 3000 & 3200M

Mmm I love all this Corvallis talk.
