Looked good, especially considering we didn't have our floor spacing big man tonight. This team is going to be a matchup nightmare for most teams this year.

Evan Turner is going to be a big pickup. I have a feeling he's going to be the 6th man who will often be in the "closing time" lineup. I also think his 3pt shooting will improve as the year goes on because stotts will keep encouraging him to shoot it.

AC might have something to say about that

We should be tanking for a preseason lottery pick.

Yeah I thought Crabbe looked good as did Harkless.
Aminu played well too, except the 3 pt shots. He needs to limit them to the spots on the floor where they have a chance to go in. And only when he is wide open.

Liked the effort on the perimeter defense.

Liked the broadcasters. Just shut up about Payton and Seattle

Harkless looked good

Napier looked like a good emergency PG option

Tired of seeing Chief hoist up 3's. Just not his game

Hated Fabio's hair

Well I guess this means we can beat the Jazz in 7 should we face them in the playoffs. Isn't that right Kingspeed?

I don't know, turners ball handling will be huge late in games when dame and CJ are tired. Teams won't be able to hedge on them the way they would if Crabbe was in there.

Does Gen Y suffice? If you were born between the years of 1980 and 2000, you are a member of the generation cohort colloquially known as the millenials. Little lesson for you. Hope you learned.

Your argument is that Mike rice, the drunken old man caricature with legs, is not the corny one?!?! Lolll man oh man that's a bigger stretch than what our 3 point shooting is doing to Utahs defense.

Yes, that's my argument. Rice is rebellious. Hurd seeks approval.

Napier looked great. Turner and the team need to get a better feel for each other. That was evident. Hark's shot looks smoother and Plumlee got rid of that hitch in his. Plumlee was hitting mid range shots at a high clip in shoot around and even made a 3.

I think we have the best bench in the league. 3 of the top 10 sixth men from last year in Crabbe, Turner, and Davis. A defensive beast in Ezeli and a 7'1 stretch 5 in Leonard. Just matching them up against Utah's makes me laugh that CBS said they had the best "bench".

Joe Johnson / Evan Turner
Boris Diaw / Ed Davis
Alec Burks / Allen Crabbe
Trey Lyles / Meyers Leonard
Dante Exum / Festus Ezeli

I don't remember them talking about Payton or Seattle... though I was half paying attention/half couldn't hear them (Ahem, Jeff Curtain!)

Evan Turner just crossed himself 3 times like Catholics do. Is he Catholic?

I noticed him another time on the bench doing it once. He is quirky.

I love Calabro's voice and delivery. Old school.

What I like more is how he compactly (concisely) packs a lot of information into a carefully-worded phrase. I notice his content more than his style. He says a lot per every 20 seconds.

Amazing! Announcers that can talk about a game without mentioning the officiating!

the past attention to the refs has been dramatically reduced. Hardly any discussion of bad calls and I don't think that they've even mentioned who the officials are. It's only preseason, but I suspect that may have been a sore point about the Mike's style.

It was a useful time-filler for them, but Calabro is so talented at describing the action that he doesn't need additional subject matter like the refs.

They laughed that Payton's brother is even mouthier than him.

Hoopshype was the worst, but educated basketball insight was never their strong point to begin with

Only if Damian stops drinking like a fish.
