He was better in the 2nd half. And a bad defender on the wing is easier to cover up for than a center whose terrible in space and pnr.

But we are talking about a 10th man who at most will play 500-800 minutes, assuming decent health.
He was better in the 2nd half. Oh wait, nevermind. Apparently I'm rooting for him to FAIL.

Overall I think Curry is like a poor mans CJ, Im not really excited about him at all. He looks to pass even less than CJ (so I dont want him to play point much), his defense is very meh.

Its just preseason though, so really who knows.

Oh god, shut up. I've been wrong before and I'm not afraid to be wrong again. If you think someone being wrong makes them a fool then you, yourself, are the fool. I even admitted he was doing a good job offensively earlier today. But I pay attention to defense, and his defense was very bad, and I think Curry is a better all around player. Yeah, I'm the "worst fan".... just shut up.

Being wrong doesn’t make you a fool, what are you talking about? Thinking your always right does, and you are really good at that. Your condescending tone towards the majority of people on here is ridiculous. You’ve heard about it before, yet continue to do it every day. FOH.

But anyways back to basketball, your idea is to put noted defender CJ back on the second unit? Just what we need to do. Our issue last year wasn’t that we had one CJ on the second unit, it was that we didn’t have two.

I guess it's time for the Stauskas-PatCon comparison?

one inch in height difference and they could have both been had for about the same money.

Really? Not that bones needs me to defend him, but in my opinion he’s calmed down a lot in just the time that Ive been here. He never really offended me in the 1st place but whatever.

Anyways, I think that CJ / Curry both will be ok no matter the unit they’re in as long as they’re playing with a distributor. Neither of them strike me as looking for their team mates very often.

Me? Look in the mirror dude. I said Stauskas shouldn't play over Curry because his defense is bad, and you respond with "great idea boss", call me the worst type of fan, and say I'm "afraid of looking foolish". All of which was completely unrpovoked. So I find it extremely hypocritical for you to criticize someone on tone.

That's also a strawman argument that you're using to try to bait me. I dint think I'm always right, I've admitted when I'm wrong before but you like the narrative you've created so you won't acknowledge that. I haven't had serious issues with anyone on here in months except for you, over unprovoked BS like this.

Its funny how people can treat you differently depending on how you treat them. I love his generalization to excuse his actions though.

I've even made sure that I'm nice to Scalma to avoid crap like this, but I'm starting to think it's just unavoidable with him. I wish he'd just put me on ignore.

Posted this earlier:

Lillard (36) / Curry (12)
McCollum (36) / Curry (12)
Harkless (20) / Turner (24) / Curry (4)
Aminu (32) / Harkless (10) / Collins (6)
Nurkic (33) / Collins (15)

Turner brings the ball up.

Turner doesn’t just bring the ball up. He’s the point guard. Hes the facilitator. Defensively he guards wings instead of the lead guard, that’s the only difference. The only time I want to see Curry and CJ together is when Dame is on the court with them, and even then I’d rather not. Neither one is a playmaker and the ball wouldn’t move at all. We’d also be undersized.

Why aren’t we running more offense thru Nurk? I didn’t see the game tonight but when we first got Nurk, he was a great passer out of the post. Visions of Sabonis. And in the brief he played in 2017 playoffs, he created so much easy offense for the team. What happened to that?

Stotts mentioned that’ll be an emphasis this season. We’ll see. I personally love playing through him. I know he gets super aggressive with his passes at times but that just comes with the territory. Even Gasol, the best passing big in the league, turned the ball over nearly three times a game last year.

You're missing the point.

Stauskas isn't a playmaker either... Currys a better playmaker than he is...

No he’s not. He has three assists in three games and has never been known as a big playmaker, not even in college. He’s CJ lite.

Seth Curry Career AST% - 15.7
Nik Stauskas Career AST% - 11.7

Seth Curry Career TOV% - 11.3
Nik Stauskas Career TOV% - 13.9

Went to the game tonight - should've left after 3 like I originally intended. Starters looked good - loved Nurk's effort, and the guards were great as always. Looks like another year of us needing to survive the second unit. The group in there for the last five minutes, well, that was excruciating. Swanigan played awful and looked completely disinterested. He's never going to develop.

Seth has had the ball in his hands more.

I was at the game. Swanigan isn't NBA quality. The sooner the management realizes this, the better.

Baldwin stinks, but not as bad as Biggie. Neither should see any meaningful minutes if we want to compete.

Yeah I think of Swanigan what I thought of Meyers. Hopefully Neil can cut him next summer and avoid stuffimg $40 million into some irrational hope he improves.

Yet he finds a way to turn it over more... He has more turnovers than assists... hardly the mark of a "playmaker".

There's also a bigger difference between their ast% than usage rate. You might be able to make a valid argument as to Stauskas being the same level playmaker as Curry, but nothing suggests he's better.

Its preseason so undoubtedly the coaches have instructed guys to do certain things and that will skew things, but neither one to me looks like a playmaker (in terms of passing at least).

For their career numbers I dont really know what to make of them, neither player has found themselves on a good team with playoff aspirations really. I think its much easier to get assists on good teams with few weak links on offense than it when you just dont have very many offensive weapons...

I have never and will never leave a game before the final buzzer. But yeah, that 4th quarter was brutal.

Zach Collins is what worries me the most, though. Yikes.

Exactly. Playmaking isn't reasoning that makes sense if your trying to argue that Stauskas should play as much as Curry, because Curry is better at every other aspect of the game.

Zach Collins is not good. He’s a late 1st rounder type of player. If that. I can’t believe he went 10th yikes

Question for english lesson: is i didn't see that coming or i didn't saw that coming correct? :D

The official site said our starters looked good in the loss.. I saw the game on TV and they did look fresh. In the future games, we need a bench that can equal and exceed deficits. Pre season has purpose.giphy5CLJLMKFcookin.gif
