Is the stuff they're saying about Simons reminding anyone else of all the times that Mike Barrett would glowingly talk about players?
That's my fear.

I miss watching CJ play basketball, I'm critical of him at times but man when he has things going he's got some beautiful offensive moves.

I do like that end of the quarter play. Zach needs to work on his paint game though. He gets pushed away too often. Still though, good play at the end the quarter.

I'm not fearin' anything with this squad...it's awkward at this point but the skills are there...Simons is going to be smooth..right now it's like watching a dance class with half the class not knowing the steps

A little sloppy but a fun first quarter. The Blazers picked up their intensity near the end of the first quarter. Let's hope they keep it up.

I think I'm always worried about hyping guys too much before they've done anything goes from guys like Lebron in HS to Zion, but the hype for Anfernee is unreal right now, it's like they're literally talking him up like he's about take Dame's spot... I'm not sure why either, just be quiet about it and let him either catch people by surprise or let him come into his own on his own schedule. They're heaping a huge burden on him to ball out this year.

Mario is really trying to move the ball around...good to see...our defense is a broken string..that will need to clean up

Zach's jumper looks pretty decent this year. That's good. Mario as the half-court initiator is not inspiring confidence...

I hate it when a guard goes baseline picks up his dribble and has nothing to do with it. They put themselves in a position they have to make an amazing play.

There's been a couple of times this (pre) season, where it seems that players have completely lost their man on defense.

Suns killing us from three

it appears defense is going to be their Achilles heal this year.
