We were told all season by the #FireStotts crew that STOTTS was the reason we were losing plain and simple. Deny it kid. EVERY FUCKING GAME WIN OR LOSE it was Stott's fault for something, not the roster or injuries. You can try to talk down to me all you want with the,"I'm not sure you wanted to understand" shit all you want.
You're taking things way too seriously. Calm down bud.

The point was that our style of play was an issue and injuries wasn't an excuse for it because we played the same crappy way no matter how healthy we were. I tried to explain this all fucking season:

I've never said injuries dont matter. Apparently you struggle with proper context.

Saying "This team doesnt have to always run deep scheme because of injuries" isn't saying that injuries dont matter.

Saying "This team should be moving the ball better than worst in the league even with injuries" isn't saying that injuries dont matter.

Saying "theres sets that the Blazers should be running that they don't even with injuries" isn't saying that injuries dont matter.
There's some things out of Stotts control that we'll be hurt be hurt by due to injuries. But I've laid out multiple things here that he can control with C.J. and Nurkic out.
Because it didn't excuse why our offense was the most stagnant offense in the league, why we ran drop scheme more than 90% of the time, why we didn't have a wider variety of sets to get role players quality looks when they had it going, and a lot of other things.

What wasn't said is that injuries didn't matter. I'm really confused why people can't differentiate the two.

So you're ignoring naunce and twisting context in order to try to make a different opinion sound dumb just so you can put it down. Then you're gonna freak out when I point out the obvious: that you don't care what the actual context was? Give me a break.

If you're running drop and not switching it up even though he's torching it you're not really trying to contain him for a scheming prospective.

That doesn't mean that if you do the best you can from a scheming perspective then he's guaranteed to have less than 40.

But I feel like you knew that?
Agree to a point because it's not just scheme. We are talking about Stephen Curry. Biggest thing I'm looking for is solid improvement. I'm excited to see this team improve defensively. Nothing makes me feel like they can win more than knowing they can get a stop when they need one. Yes scoring is important but defensive stops win the game in crunch time.

Like i said in the other post. We might be in for a bumpy ride to begin this season. I still don't think the roster is completely set. Hold strong because there are going to be people coming at you. Expect it.

So you're saying Stotts WASN'T the reason we struggled last season now?

Are you saying that I am making your opinions sound dumb? Brother, you do that on your own, HA!

i didn't realize there were so many fans of such a shitty coach. this is a bit embarrassing.

I've said before, you might not have seen it, you probably have me on ignore. I wasn't a fan of Stotts.....I'm a fan of aiming the blame in the right direction.

I never posted that I was a fan of him. I was pissed when they hired him actually. The whole, "it wasn't the roster" thing was ridiculous.

The Blazers playoff roster was better than Denvers. A Denver team missing one of their two stars, with no chance to contend, that got smoked in the next round.

The Blazers have had the same playoff struggles for over half a decade.... it was time to move on from the coach.

Maybe the Blazers aren't any better this year or are worse with a new coach... if thats the case it is likely time to trade Dame. Lets play at the least 20 games first to see how it looks.

Last it was a lot of faults goes around on everybody. Not fan of Store for a lot reason and not fan olshey still haven't balance the roster like he should. The players have some responsibility for what happened last year.
