And the notion that Bernie wouldn't be able to win the middle is complete fallacy. Why does he win his state with 71%?

Vermont ain't that blue. That's a lot of independents and republicans that voted for him.

Not this. Not that I'm saying they played fair, or that they should be excused for it.

But I'm having a hard time seeing how Bernie would have won the primaries anyway.

Do we really think that millions of voters would have voted for Bernie rather than Hillary if the debates had been on different nights? Or if Hillary had not gotten a fairly predictable debate question?

And remember that what Bernie won was mostly caucuses, which tend to be dominated by activists that are less representative of the overall population.

I would have watched either of those things but the Clark County regional fly fishing semi-finals was on at the same time. It was a tough call.

After the last election and the current presidency, there may never be a better opportunity for an independent to win the presidency than in 2020. All the bullshit from decades of these two parties' reign has bubbled up the the surface for the world to see. If people don't vote against these two corrupt parties in 2020 we are too far gone.

Problem is the two parties are so entrenched in the states that it's really hard. I'm independent and wish that we could employ a mechanism that would bring this two party system down.

For a real Independent to emerge we need to change the way we vote.

First off, I don't watch BET (cept for Real Husbands. That shit is hilarious). It's owned and ran by white people. That's kinda weird to me

But for the Hillary controlled DNC to schedule the debate on that night says they don't want black people to watch it. It's pretty shameful.

The U.S. is the most competitive economy in the world, according to the latest annual ranking by the World Economic Forum. It’s the first time since 2008 that the U.S. has topped the WEF’s list since before the financial crisis in 2008.

The WEF ranks 140 world economies according to 12 “pillars,” or factors that measure economic readiness. The U.S. scored at the top of three of the 12 pillars, including business dynamism (basically, entrepreneurialism), labor markets, and financial system. It ranked second in two others: innovation (behind Germany) and market size (behind China).

“But there were several areas which showed it still has more to do,” the report added, noting that the U.S. economy “drops behind other advanced economies in the health pillar, with a life expectancy of 67.7 years, putting it in 46th place. And it was far from the frontier for checks and balances (40th place), judicial independence (15th) and corruption (16th).”

Still, the U.S. surpassed Switzerland, which topped the list of most competitive economies in 2017. Switzerland fell to No. 4, with Singapore assuming the No. 2 slot and Germany coming in as the third most competitive economy.

The WEF has been benchmarking economic competitiveness for 40 years, based on the idea that economic growth helps drive human development. “There is overwhelming evidence that growth has been the most effective way to lift people out of poverty and improve their quality of life,” the report says.

I know because I only have an antenna for tv and switch from channel 3.1 to 5.1 in the morning and 3.2 or 3.3 is hispanic stuff with girls in low cut dresses.

Judge dismisses Stormy Daniels defamation suit against Trump
President Trump awarded attorneys' fees in suit dismissal.

President Donald Trump is seeking more than $300,000 in attorney fees after a federal judge in Los Angeles threw out adult-film actress Stormy Daniel’s defamation lawsuit on free-speech grounds earlier this month.

Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, sued the president in April over a tweet in which he denied her claims of being threatened by a man in a Las Vegas parking lot in 2011 – calling it a “total con job.”

“A sketch years later about a nonexistent man. A total con job, playing the Fake News Media for Fools (but they know it)!” Trump tweeted. He retweeted a side-by-side image comparing the sketch with a photo of Daniels’ husband.

Daniels’ attorney, Michael Avenatti, previously said the tweet damaged his client’s credibility by portraying her as a liar.

“The court agrees with Mr. Trump’s argument because the tweet in question constitutes ‘rhetorical hyperbole’ normally associated with politics and public discourse in the U.S.,” U.S. District Judge S. James Otero in Los Angeles said in a ruling Monday, as Bloomberg reported. “The First Amendment protects this type of rhetorical statement.”

The ruling also stated Trump is “entitled to an award of his attorneys’ fees” against Daniels, the president’s attorney Charles Harder said in a statement to Fox News earlier this month.

Trump is requesting $341,559.50 in attorney’s fees from Daniels, according to a court filing on Monday by the president’s attorneys, the Washington Examiner reported.

The filing in Los Angeles court claimed Daniels “filed this action, not because it had any merit, but instead for the ulterior purposes of raising her media profile, engaging in political attacks against the president by herself and her attorney, who has appeared on more than 150 national television news interviews attacking the President and now is exploring a run for the presidency himself in 2020,” according to the outlet.
