A New York Times piece published on Saturday delves into President Trump’s un-shocking decision to endorse U.S. Senate candidate and alleged sexual predator Roy Moore over the fierce objections of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell — whose brilliant plan was to subvert democracy by getting Governor Kay Ivey to delay the election.

Like Moore, Trump has been accused of sexual assault by several women, and like Moore, he has refused to budge an inch on the question of his innocence. As the Times reveals, though, Trump has gone way beyond mere denials. He has taken to contesting objective reality itself:

But something deeper has been consuming Mr. Trump. He sees the calls for Mr. Moore to step aside as a version of the response to the now-famous “Access Hollywood” tape, in which he boasted about grabbing women’s genitalia, and the flood of groping accusations against him that followed soon after. He suggested to a senator earlier this year that it was not authentic, and repeated that claim to an adviser more recently. (In the hours after it was revealed in October 2016, Mr. Trump acknowledged that the voice was his, and he apologized.)

It's reassuring to know that someone with a fuck it attitude has the nuke codes.
I don’t think it will get that crazy. I don’t think the people that are constantly in his mentions as well as the media saying bad shit about him all the time help. If anything he’s just gonna get even more petty and ridiculous

Side note, something that most probably did not notice, but tonight’s broadcast was the first time in my 13 seasons of traveling to work in D.C. that you did NOT see a video scenic of the White House......for obvious reasons. It just doesn’t stand for, what it used to.

Yeah, it does. And always will.

It hasn't changed, you've changed.

Or maybe you were previously misinterpreting it? :dunno:

Bandwagon Americans are so lame.

Something something fat shaming something something little bubble of positiveness something something.

I'm starting to think/hope he's just straight up fucking with us. However, what's he doing while the rabid pack is attacking his stupid tweets?

Also, this would be a perfect story to sniff out a leak.

He should watch The Departed and learn some stuff.

Still better than Hillary. Holy fuck that's sad....

Not sad, just incorrect.

Might as well say "well, he's a angry drunk guy with a sledgehammer, but he's better at auto repair than bodyman5001".

Not even close to the same thing. If the angry drunk guy buys tons of great parts to fix my car (judges that uphold the constitution) and doesn't do anything else to my car I can still use the parts after he's fired.

Hell even Susan Sarandon agrees with me for different reasons....

Have you seen his new robes?

Don't know how he gets those huge hands thru the sleeves.

The angry drunk guy might buy you the parts that you think you want, but he's also going to smash up the rest of your car with his sledgehammer, at least until he passes out. And it might turn out that those expensive parts are actually for a washing machine instead of your car.

Do you really think that guy who has never tried a case but does hunt ghosts is going to make a great judge? Why?

That alone should make you reconsider your position.

So the other guy on the tape got fired from the network over a recording that was fake? hmmmm? Donald is slippin'

Normally anything Susan Sarandon thinks is so completely opposite what I think that YOU'RE the ones who should rethink things.

If she's telling you Hillary is bad....omg

@bodyman5000 and 1 , I'm curious exactly what you are eager for these judges to do. Stop abortions? Make sure absolutely anyone can get a gun, no matter how violent they might be? Those two things seem to be at the top of the "upholding the constitution" list for many others, just wondering whether you have a different set of issues you are concerned about, judge-wise.

None of those things. And all of those things.

I don't care if another gun gets sold or if abortion quadruples.

What I care about is following the letter of the law. If the Republicans could pass a bill that follows the constitution and somehow outlaws abortion....good for them...... don't like it, repeal it. If they can't pass one that is allowed by the constitution.....good.

If the dems can pass a law that restricts gun owners and is constitutional..same thing.

I don't want the constitution treated like a traffic cop giving you a pass for speeding if you're taking your wife to the hospital to give birth.

I'm fine with that cop doing so but only if he has the legal authority to do so. Not just because I agree with it.

There isn't a single law I want interpreted based on my feelings. Not one.

I don't want to hear about the court doing anything that is in the least bit political. Sorry
