Press Pass for the forum

Welcome to our community

Be a part of something great, join today!

Some of you are excellent writers and very knowledgeable. Would you be interested in ever representing the forum, sitting on press row, giving us live updates from the game in that night's forum game thread and then doing a write up/report of that night's game?

Considering I like to give live updates when attending game's anyway I'd love to do it from press row! Love this idea and Denny's vision to form a writing team.

Could they be non biased, or would it have to be fluff since we represent the team?

At least one article a week on how much Meyers Leonard is improving and that he looks really good in practice

This is Barrett's line right now and I can't help but laugh

I'd totally be down to try it once. Sounds like major fun

Don't talk about how the blazers are working, but why they are working. We all see the standings and box scores, but not everyone may know why that Aldridge p&r with dame works so well, or why matthews seems to always be open for 3.

I think there are many on these forums who could pull that off.

Sly I've talked to you a couple times about this so I would be down. Since we all get to watch the game I think the more interesting part will be a different perspective on pre/post game stuff and practice.

Guys,

I'll write up something more formal about what we might be able to accomplish and post it here. It'll take me a couple of days max.

WE SHOULD HAVE DIFFERENT POSTERS TAKE OVER THE TWITTER ACCOUNT FOR IN GAME ANALYSIS AND FUN.

Can I sit next to Casey? Or right in front of Wheels?

No, we would sit on the Isle of Misfit Press, which is at the top of the 200 level. That's where BlazersEdge, Willamette Week, Portland Mercury, etc sit.

This would actually be a pretty sweet opportunity for the forum.

But I call BS on Wooks remaining sober at a game.

My objective would be to form a writing team. We all read and write a lot on this site and it's mostly about the Blazers. Some of our best posts are certainly on par with what the pros get published in the newspaper. Whatever we write could end up in the Blazers' game programs, on NBA.com Blazers' site, and so on.

If this takes off, I'd be willing to bring up a sister site that's blog oriented to show off our work.

I can get into more depth about how this would all work, but I'd like to know that there is sufficient interest first.

Sounds good to me!

I am happy for all of the Blazer fans!

There are a few guys that could make this work. Agree with you EL President that it should be funny.

I'm still game if you think it'd be useful

This sounds like an awesome idea. I really enjoyed reading Sly's write up of some games last year as well as Nates(at least I think it was Nate). Really fun to read an entire article about a game from someones perspective that i'v read or talked to for years on this forum.

I'd love to do this but don't see how I'd pull it off with my schedule this season. I think it's a great idea and hope it takes off
