It is crazy, an incredible feat, when you think about it. Tanaka has not experienced defeat since 012. Not many athletes can say as much in any sport.

As I have previously stated in other posts, when Tanaka pitches you can sit back and watch the game. He make scuff here and there but he does not blow his cool.

...aside from having very good stuff, Tanaka is very resilient. He doesn't walk many because he does not give in to hitters even when behind in the count, so he's gonna give up some hits and HRs but again, since he does not walk many batters, the damage is usually minimal.
