Kidd has been playing well, but will his team mates step it up in this one?
Wright is starting in place of Carter. Can he continue playing sufficently well this game? Look for the Nets to be close if Antoine hits his threes.

Richard Jefferson hasn't produced as much in the last couple of games as he has produced in earlier games. His scoring has dropped off since Carter got injured. Can Jefferson be productive without Carter drawing a lot of attention?

Sean Williams was the leading score in the previous game and his first start. This young man his coming along very quickly.

Magloire needs to cut back on his turnovers. He was one of the reasons the Nets struggled against Miami. He had six turnovers in 21 minutes.

Deron Williams plays like Kidd in many respects. Lets see if he can outplay the master point guard.
In his second year out of Arkansas, Ronnie Brewer is playing relatively well for the Jazz. He is a very good defender. He is averaging 2.6 steals per game. Certainly this does not sound good for the Nets who have trouble with turnovers.

Kirilenko can block shots. The Nets will need to watch out for him when they drive to the hoop. He will be especially important for the Jazz because the Nets don't have the sharp-shooting Vince Carter to shoot over him.

Boozer is a strong player who can rebound, defend and score. The question will be if Sean Williams can contain this powerhouse.

Utah Jazz's center is very good and making long range shots. Will Magloire be able to come out on him? Or will the Nets need to put someone else on him? Look for Sean Williams to guard Okur and Magliore to guard Boozer.

X-factors: The X-factors in this game for the Nets will be Jamaal Magloire for the Nets and Ronnie Brewer for the Jazz. Magloire needs to have a game with no more than one turnover. His turnovers have been hurtful this season. If Ronnie Brewer can shut down Wright and manage to score a lot of points against Wright,
the Nets stand almost zero chance of winning this game.

Prediction: The Nets will lose by a fairly large margin, say 15 points (80 - 95). Not only does the Jazz have solid starters, it has a very good bench.
