Yes, exactly. I don't deny that whites have an advantage over other races in America. Or Christians over other religions. But racism is still racism, discrimination is still discrimination. I just call it how I see it. If someone discriminates against me, I have just as much right as the next to call it out.

Last month when I tied up to the City dock in Vancouver for the night, while I waited for a part needed on the boat, I had to put up with being close, perhaps too close to the Gay life style.
Ha! I sort of wish those dudes were just smoking the Gideon roll. Several times, up to about 2am or so they would come down to the dock, a short walk from town, and do their thing. Some noise as hell about it. Apparently the hand rail on the side of the gangway down on the dock was part of the attraction. Not impressive.

I'm not sure I see irony.
I see/feel sadness... people are so stuck in picking and choosing parts of the bible to justify hate towards Christians or towards the LGBTQ community.
The vast majority of Christians I've been around both young and old. Accept a person as they are. They might disagree with someone and a decision but they don't spew hateful speech or protests against them. Hell they don't even bring it up most times.(let me be clear I'm not saying identifying with the LGBTQ community is a decision.)
I'm well aware of the hate certain people who identify as Christians do spew at times. I would argue those people are picking and choose what is most convenient for them because they're scared. Therefore they reach for hate.

Pushing hate onto Christians or the LGBTQ community based off a few people who don't understand their hurting progress by doing/saying certain things will only further fuel hate for both sides.
Perhaps that's what I should have said.

Well said. People using the Bible to preach hate are as "Christian" as these artists burning the pages... in other words, they aren't.

That is the second time I read this today and you'd be shocked at where I read it first, so I won't say. Okay, I read it in the comments of the Emma Sulkowicz faux rape video. It came to my attention in coincidence with her prestigious Woman of Courage Award presented to her by NOW, you know, despite the fact that the accused was exonerated in multiple preponderance of evidence tribunals. I'm veering off topic, but it is telling of the feminism NOW represents, that is to say, not the dictionary definition. But yes, pride is a good experience and a fulfilling one. The pride surrounding the event is palpable in a good way.

Perhaps i should elaborate as well. I treat everyone i meet with the same respect. When someone goes out of their way to try and be offensive, it makes me laugh, however, i do my best to offend them to return the lulz. I have no buttons to push, and im really good at pushing others buttons. It's a curse and a gift, ive been called a psychopath before but i dont think its true, i just have a great poker face and words dont hurt me, even though they are like bullets.

I'm not going to get into a Bible smackdown with you because frankly it would be tedious, boring and no fun for anyone. BUT, if you are going to make statements like that, you may want to spend some more time in the New Testament. It clearly points out, in a few books, that what was said in the old testament is no longer what Jesus wants. He died for the sins of man. Meaning the entire Old Testament system is obsolete. Romans 7:6:, “Now we are released from the law, having died to that which held us captive, so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit and not in the old way of the written code.” John 18:36: And so the church doesn’t function any longer like Israel did as a national or political governmental agency and, therefore, does not coerce its beliefs with the sword. The Old Testament is the story of prophesy of a coming Messiah, while the New Testament is the actual story of The Lord, and how he actually dealt with people

Forgive me, I was trying to get him to peek at the definition of marriage. But oh well.

Since you brought it up, God abandoning anyone seem to be an odd thing to write. It seem it was the other way around, they abandon God,
just as the bible smokers did. They seem to mock everything about him and the Religion. Sort of funny though that they think enough about it to go out of their way
to put on show smoking the pages. Doesn't sound like a happy lot, why not leave it without remorse? Doesn't seem like they can, they still think of God and his followers, whom they are really mocking.
 
As most of you are aware I am an Atheist, but not without years of studying different religions and their texts.

Most of them are extremely well-written works of beauty, inspiration, dictatorship and discord, when viewed as fiction or metaphor, and rank among the finest writings I know of.

Book-burning is one of the vilest crimes ever conceived, and WTF does weed have to do with gender identification anyway?
