This current roster isnt even close to a contender. Even with a healthy Greg and Joel (which i doubt we will say often) this roster is still in need of major pieces. Watching guys the last few games like Millsap and Landry kill us makes me wonder how we do not hav a player like that on our roster. A guy who can score easily instead of praying that his 20 ft jumper falls.... you know our entire roster. The only nights we are gonna win at this point is when the other team is really off or when we are hitting all our jumpers. What's amazing is we have regressed to the point that this team as is isnt a playoff team this year or next.
So many questions need to be answered about this shitty group kpee has put together.
1. Point Guard. Miller is so up and down and frankly just looks like he hates it here. He also gets abused by quick guards. Blake will leave after this year. Who plays PG next year? Bayless just doesnt seem to be that good to start. Backup? i guess but the league has figured him out. Scouting report on bayless is just make him shoot jumpers and take away dribble penitration. really simple.
2. Center. I mean you know how i feel. We need a legit backup to ODen because pryz wont be ready or nearly affective as he use to be for months into next season. He wil also leave at next years end.
3. Banger at PF. this might be our biggest need. You can always slide softy over to center but how bad does this team need a landry or milsap type? Its so painfully obvious.
4. SF. 5 years later we still dont know. Is it webster? Is it batum? Should we trade for a legit 3rd option or maybe 2nd option. I love the iggy idea. Kpee or Nate have to decide soon cause since batum came back webster looks lost again.
So my point here is we really seem further away then most think. With the west becoming so tough... making the playoffs this year or next without fixing these issues has become unlikely. Forget about contending. Not even close with this roster. And the sad truth is, we know Kpee wont do shit to fix it. He will be counting the days till hes back in the lotto picking some over hyped euro who wont play till 2013. Its such a fucking joke. Kpee is so bad when hes not doing something lotto involved. And even those picks look more and more shaky. So sad to see the Blazers efforts all December and early January wasted because our gm has no talent to make deals. I mean i hope his little sell out streak at the rose garden ends. This season has been such a major disappointment. Everyone keeps saying next year but i dont see a whole lot changing.
