Clear violations of Federal law once they impeded foot travel of airline customers, surrounded and held the three Trump fans hostage against their will for roughly 10 minutes at least, mob assault places liability and criminal guilt across all participants in the general mob action. Probably 50-60% of these assholes will be facing Federal indictment by Tuesday since they are all on camera committing their unprovoked crimes.

If Kate Bloomberg-Brown doesn't do an about face and start enforcing the law instead of condoning violence and anarchy, Trump may just step in and relieve her of any control of the PPD and put the city police under Federal control.

Clearly, this old 1971 law that Obama tweaked should be able to imprison everyone who protests outside Trump Tower or anywhere near the White House for up to 10 years. Not hard to apply it to every airport in US.

This is bad and wrong. Just as with the Spencer punching, if they catch the assailant he should be charged with assault.

The difference between this and the Spencer case is that (presumably) this is not a public figure who has a platform and a following, so there isn't even a semblance of a political justification for the "punching a bully to stop a movement" defense.

Does that mean that the Trump guy didn't deserve it? I dunno. But I believe that plenty of people on death row may deserve to die but I am still opposed to the death penalty because of the dangers of having the state in charge of killing people. If this was just a fight between two people over a personal grudge then sure, have at it. But if this guy was assaulted by a stranger over political reasons then this is vigilantism and needs to be condemned.

The other two, are nowhere close to the effects of calling someone a racist, bigot, nazi, fascist, or xenophobe and you know that.
