Props Thread

Looky here, we should all listen to this brilliant advice that was put so "succintly"

It is pretty sad when a dumb old bodyman with bondo dust in his brain knows that the word is spelled succinct.

Oh no. A misspelled word! Can't argue with the rest of the post, so point out a misspelled word!! :ohno:

Hey, it's a small sample size. We don't really know if Outlaw will ever be a good perimeter shooter until he hits 1000 of them in a season at a 50% clip, a third of them from half court, and Steve Kerr performs fellatio on him during the pre-game warmup. And even then, it better be for four or five years in a row.

Until then, Webster is the better perimeter shot. Because, after all, his form is prettier (although not the accuracy), and we drafted him over Chris Paul because of that pretty stroke.

In summary: We drafted Webster over Chris Paul because John Nash thought his shooting form was nice. We didn't do that with Outlaw. Ergo, Outlaw doesn't count...
...acknowledging TO runs counter to everyone's favorite Trader Bob/Antichrist rant too

Props to alcohol for clouding my mind and making me forget one of my favorite players.

Props to alcohol for also fueling your righteous anger, I suspect. (If not, I'd hate to see you with a drink or two.)

So, the answer to the question I posed was "ignorant".

Great observation, and I've not been sold on Batum, but he is starting to look really nice lately.

I'm just glad I never said he SUCKED!

And how about Outlaw's game tonight! He has really earned my respect. If Portland makes no further moves this season, I would be more than confident with Batum/Outlaw heading into the Playoffs. I can't believe how much better Outlaw is doing. He is doing so many things out there on the court. He's quickly becoming one of my favorite players this year. Either he really turned a corner or I was just blind to what he was capable of last year.

The sad part is that it isn't a word like food, or another word that you could pretend was just a typo. It is a word that your tiny brain decided to use so you could make yourself feel smart. Unfortunately you made yourself look silly.

If your brain can't detect that you are using a word that you don't know how to spell, what other things are you doing wrong that you aren't aware of?

A good example would be how you actually seem to believe that you didn't ruin the game thread.

Well, I defend Outlaw a lot, but I won't oversell him at this point. I will say this place is becoming a cesspool for anyone who defends the players, and with that I'll probably take your advice and bail shortly until someone else drives them out or they just pretend their unjust criticisms never happened.

It's odd when the people defending the players are called the angry posters. :dunno:

Um, I think you just proved my point. I didn't say it was a typo. I type by flow of mind. I missed a word. Big deal. Where were you during the game thread, by the way? Or do you just read them in retrospect?

I went to the game tonight and NOBODY on the Blazer's sucked. Miami sucked, but none of our guys. I yelled myself horse on blocked shots and ally oop dunks.

Got to give Nate a lot of credit for the way the Blazers played tonight...

I'm not sure what "past" you mean, but ok.

Like I've said before...sorry about that. I don't post on Olive for that reason; I try to put my thoughts and their reasons in one post rather than splitting it up over 4 or 5. Most there don't like it or pay attention to my posts, so I don't get discussion, so I don't waste my time. If it's becoming like that here, my fault.

It's not natural for me to split the posts up, but if it adds to discussion I'll work on it.

Screw that. Post how you want to post. If some people lack the ability to read paragraphs or the patience to read more than one sentence at a time then they're that much poorer for missing your posts, man.

PapaG and Bodyman both need to get laid sometime soon.

Are you guys grown ups?

Brandon Roy was FUCKING TERRIBLE. 2-11 or something???

FUCKING TRADE HIM. Can we get Randy Foye or Telfair back even? LOL, I bet Minnesota wouldn't even do it...

Best. Post. Ever. Owned!

Props to the stat leaders tonight:
Frye 17 pts
Sergio 11 ast
Greg 10 rbs
Joel 4 blk
Batum 2 stl
LaMarcus .70 fg%
Travis 4-4 ft
Rudy 3-4 3pt

nice. Those are mostly your favorite players, aren't they?

Whadaya mean terrible?

He was doing an excellent job clapping and waving his towel from the bench in the 4th quarter while the other guys turned a blowout into an all-time laugher.

A general note to all the quibbling bitches:

Stop! Discuss basketball instead.
