For conveying that it's ok to have friends, that have different points of view on things.
The ones the at preach tolerance seem to be the least tolerant of all.

People taking issue with Bush is more than a simple “difference of opinion”. People take issue with the fact he lied is into a war that killed thousands of our own troops and countless more innocent civilians. He and Dick Cheney are war criminals that were never held accountable for their crimes.

Don’t get shit twisted. This isn’t a feel good story of acceptance, it’s a couple of rich people letting class take precedence over morals and integrity.

It's hard to blame Bush for being an ignorant dupe. Now Cheney is another story.

This is exactly how a friend of mine described it to me (I agreed with her). People are making a false equivalency of how it is the same as liking someone for a difference of opinion, when it's not even close to that.

I disagree with my brother when it comes to politics, but we get along otherwise. It's a simple disagreement. It's not like he's a racist or a bigot.

I totally agree with the last part of your post too.

Actually I think you are dead wrong as Pete would put it.
The story was about how people objected and slammed Ellen. Pretty simple don't make it all political. Its not.

I could care less where Rodman visits. I remember Ali visiting different area's and sure he may have gotten some bad reaction but he was a peace maker. We need more of them.
Now, Hanoi Janes trip was totally political.

Ellen is a comedian, she's going to get material from somewhere...Bush is a great source of material ..
