OT Protestor Hit by Police Cruiser

Crap, I sure hope they catch him. After they convict him, I hope they fire him. All this presumes he had no good reason such as responding to an emergency.
You didn't read the article?

Well, just saw the dashcam video. Still can't tell what the officer saw or if anyone to the left or rear of the vehicle was distracting him or her. Also, if people had been shaking or hitting the car the impact of hitting the protestor wouldn't seem out of place.

Why is this not a bigger story?? The cop hit and ran...

If you complain about any police violence then you hate america. Also protesters get what they deserve because they should be at work or something like that.

This one isn't helping the cause with mainstream America. Parkland it isn't.

We've seen the police chopper footage and the bodycam footage where the cops THINK he has a gun. Should they have shot the guy? I don't know.

I've seen videos of way way way more egregious shootings. Like I said, this one ain't helping. Then you have the guy's brother acting like a paranoid schizophrenic. Read the comments. I don't even understand half of the comments so I'm assuming they are by people from big cities or something. Moist? No idea what that means, or coon out? NO IDEA.

If someone provides video that shows the entire vehicle at the exact time of the accident and it proves there aren't any protestors on the side or rear of the vehicle attacking it then I'll say the driver should be in trouble. Until then....nope.

"During the incident, the Sheriff’s Department vehicle sustained scratches, dents, and a shattered rear window," Hampton wrote in the release. "The damage to the vehicle was not a result of the collision involving the pedestrian but was caused by vandals in the crowd."

Oh, my. Poor peaceful protesters...Bah. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

No point in cottling that shit.

There's only one solution, pick out a pedestrian that's not posing any threat and run his/her ass over. That is followed by a hit and run. That'll teach them damn hippies.

Explain why this one cop ran over this one protestor, you can't but you know it was on purpose somehow.

Hit and run doesn't require intent to be a crime.

Uhhh, if I'm not a cop and I'm being attacked by an angry mob and I hit one with my car I have to stop and wait to be attacked?

Or just cops have to?

Depends, why is the mob attacking you? Do you deserve it? Have you been a bad, bad bodyman?

But to answer your question - if the cop felt his life was in jeopardy by stopping, that would be a defense he could try. Not clear to me if that is in fact the claim.

If he even says he knew he hit her. One of the vehicles apparently has a smashed rear window. Could have been smashed at exactly the same moment.

If my car is being attacked and I bump an old woman trying to get away I might not even notice.

The driver may have hit the old white lady on purpose. As usual people jump to conclusions without knowing all the facts.

Now they're pushing the private autopsy and Clark being shot in the back.

Knowing he wasn't armed what else would people expect? If you wonder why I'd guess he was shot in the side or back it's obvious if you watched the bodycam

I couldn't quite figure out why this poor guy getting killed by accident didn't bother me as much as all the ones I've seen where the cops obviously had bad intentions. Then I watched the first half of this.

Great, another arrogant woman pissed off because Youtube is limiting her video views.

Have you warned the authorities? :dunno:

What part of "BACK AWAY FROM MY VEHICLE!" didn't the moron understand?

Total flop by the "victim" who deliberately planted herself against the hood of the cop car.

She wasn't injured and the car did not actually strike her. It simply drove away slowly and she fell off the hood she was leaning against.

You've gotta have more evidence of a threat than getting your car jostled before you can run someone over.

I would have to say that running someone over at a high rate of speed in a crowd shows unconcern for the health of the victim who may or may not have been involved in the preceding jostling.

Edit - I'll bet the loved ones would love to repay the officer's favor in kind.
