I don't think I want Joel getting any minutes from Hickson, Freeland, or Leonard. But if we have an injury or trade we can always buyout someone and bring Joel back as a 15th man.

Why not waive Pavlovic?

Because his salary is already guaranteed and we'd lose the flexibility of including him as part of a bigger trade.

Only reason to waive him now is if we need the roster spot or he accepts less money on a buyout. But keep in mind we don't need to get down to a 15 man roster until the end of October.

I agree with the idea of signing Joel to another year, to be insurance at center. Pavlovich and Jefferies should be waived.
